Since when does a manufacturer's website offer shimming details?

Rich, the best way is to put only the gears in, nothing else, and start adding/subtracting shims and spinning the gears until there's no lateral play and it sounds tight.

G&G gives them. I haven't looked at other manufacturer's sites to see if they do or not.[/url]

That's cool, although, it probably explains why most G&Gs are pieces of shit.

Shimming's not something that can be the done the same way every time, each gearbox is different (being a mechanical guy, you understand the sloppy as shit tolerances these things are cast to), and shimming is a CRUCIAL step in ensuring the smooth operation of an AEG.

most definitely, but it's a good spot to start from instead of thumb up rectum.
