You say that you had “good†intentions. Well, let me tell you something: Good intentions often lead to the worst results. For example (I don't know if it's still on the forums), I once posted a pretty confrontational message to The Eradicator. Sure, I had good intentions, but it was a stupid, arrogant, and selfish thing to do. Not to say that's what your little “essay†is, but a Chicago-based topic need not be brought to Arizona, even to open it up for discussion. I read through the first paragraph wondering, why is this being brought up here? Then, with all of the spelling/grammar mistakes, I just cut right to the replies. A little advice: if you are going to even bring something that doesn't belong on a forum, spell check it first.
Also, most people here are already on the ASP forums, and are current on them. So, it just pisses us off to read through something two times, at different forums. It's almost as bad as posting the same message in two different sections on the same forum. You also brought it up completely out of the blue. The line: "Now lets talk about the concept of equal rights and far sportsmanship," assumes we know why you are posting this.
So, to sum up what I'm saying thus far:
1- completely unrelated to AZ, and these forums
2- bad spelling and grammar
3- posted already on a more popular forum
4- not well thought-out, nor well-written
To continue, you are talking about the first-amendment and such as if you are a lawyer devoting his life to lecturing and defending that right. As Paco said, forums are a private place, being moderated as a private place. You are also insinuating that this forum is biased and unfair, which would most likely be infuriating for those who spend hours a week/day moderating it. From your profile, you are a Firefighter/EMT. That tells me you likely have no training in the profession of law and the related.
Now, during the writing of this post, I attempted to read your post again to gain more insight on the topic. I stopped half-way through because the grammar and spelling made me cringe.
So, there's the end of my little rant. I hope you can read this, because, I, for one, wrote it in Word, spell checked it, and went over the grammar several times.
In response to your latest post:
“My post was not to get anyone pissed off!â€
The first few sentences in my post address this.
“It was to get others to open up and say what they thing about the subjet matter.â€
First, spelling. Second, cheating and un-sportsmanlike con(accidentally). Hurt like crazy but cuz it was the thumb, nothing bled.
I've had really nasty bruises before from being shot at 4 feet, but never a blood bubble.
