**changing the start time on this from 0700 to 0830** sorry for the change but i'm trying to get conflicting time schedules to work together.
meet at the "baja" gas station 0800
be at four peaks by 0830
Hey all its been a while since i've hosted a game (for those that remember anyway) but i'm hosting it at four peaks on the second sat of Nov. i know everyone has fancy names these days for their games but i don't. it should be really nice out there by then and i am dying to get some real trig time in. i will be using the northern part of the ao in order to steer clear of any civies and quads.. and stay away from the big bad park ranger lol. it would be cool to see some of the old faces out there that haven't been out in a while
18+ only
game will start early be on site at 0830
or meet at conaco station at 0800
the game will last through lunch time so bring what you can for carbs and hydr
what to expect:
a lot of objectives , time constraints (depending on the objective),this will be physically demanding (i don't like lazy games)
teamwork if you don't use it you'll fail.
what to bring: yourself, your gear duh, radios!(PLEASE watch radio traffic if you are not a fire team leader), water duh again,
i'm not going to get into specifics right now> most of this is explanatory, yall know the AO just bring your game face and i'll make you have to work to accomplish your objectives..that is if you can  further details will be provided at game briefing.
so i took an idea and ran with it- here is what i have out lined for the game missions- i'll decide respawn/life counts as the roster progresses. don't miss this one guys, should be real interesting. basically bad guys are going to launch chemical weapon, good guys are on a mission to stop them.
***Outline***
Airsoft Biological Weapon Mock Rules
The two bottles of “binary agents” must NOT be broken if they are then the entire mission fails and the surrounding 1 square mile will be chemically devastated
In order to successfully arm and “fire” the fake weapon, the following parts are required
- orange and green agent containers
- nose guidance piece
- body and stabilizer fins
- bottom propellant cap
- a lighter
the parts will be split up and scattered accordingly in reference to the grid maps provided to both forces.
The following Intel is to the best of our knowledge- satellite images show X amount of ammunition containers marked on the grid map provided. These items must be recovered in order to complete your mission, being as these parts were planted by Green forces they will have better intel on the location of these items.
The bad guys- Green forces are to recover and assemble the parts to make the rocket active, once armed it must be detonated at a designated grid inside of their territory and ensure at all costs that the rocket is launched.
The good guys- Tan forces are to stop the terrorist Greens at all costs, find and secure the weapon parts and keep the Greens from firing the rocket. Do not destroy any of the parts of the weapon as this will be analyzed by NATO for evidence of origin to help stop future events like this from happening. Once all parts are secured they must be extracted at a designated LZ on your map. Keep in mind that just because you found one propellant cap or guidance nose cone does not mean that there isn’t another.
Both sides have until 0100 to complete their mission, if you fail to do so secure what you can and return to your deployment area/base.
Good luck
Medic and Respawn rules
Green forces have X respawns/lives- considering this is their turf they have better access to replenishment forces
Tan forces have X respawns/lives- limited amount of forces for this high profile nature of this mission
Medic rules are standard for both sides you get hit once anywhere pull out your white rag- your designated medic will medic you tying the rag on your arm and bring you to his mobile CCP- you can only receive combat medical attention a total of 2 times before you have to “respawn or re-deploy” from a marked location on the map provided. “re-deploying” uses a life
this isn't supposed to be a walk in the park :)
*** you will need to bring white rags in order to be medicaly attended to in combat
teams will go as listed, please post up indicating your camo of choice > i'm looking to try and get around 60+ people to attend, this is more than a month out so its more than enough time to clear your schedule

not to burst your bubble but confrontation 09 is that day so dont expect too many participants. i could be wrong tho.
-
There will be plenty of players for a four peaks game. Many players can't afford or don't want to come out to a "paying" event. As an event coordinator, I say give people options and let them decide.
Some will want to go to a free event and get some trigger time in, while others may want to attend tactical training with former SEALs.
That's the great thing about our hobby, it gives you control of what you want to experience.
-
HELL YEAH. I will put it in my appointment book. ha ha AWESOME. I'm IN.
-
Cool man. Dah. I be there.
later
-
dude i live in Chandler and my friend lives in mesa we will both be there count us in we both are in Woodland & Black! so whatever team that is count us on!!
-
updated: lets fill that roster ladies
-
you know ill be there, in woodies. gonzo has duty that weekend so he might be a nogo. my friend casey might come out, ill try and nab some other Marines too.
this is gonna be good.

that is true. but even free games aren't free. when you think about it. it costs gas to get to the field and back, the cost of water or gatorade, and food/snacks that you eat, and bbs that you buy for the game. and thats usually between 20-40 bucks. and if you factor in those costs maybe some people that charge games might make it a little less so more people will show up. but if its a business like CQB and Fightertown then there is nothing that can be done about the base price
-
If I wasn't coaching soccer, I'd def be there.

is this area ok to play on? I thought there were firearms restriction or something for four peaks...
-
^ I thought that was only in a certian part of 4 peaks, last year that ranger guy came out and talked to use (At a team phantom game i think) and said where we were was fine, it was all the stuff to the west of where the hosue used to be that we cant shoot in i think.
-
the last game we Kiley had out there he was aproached by a park ranger and he wanted to make sure that we weren't in a trail/recreation zone where firearms/airgun/gas gun was off limits, but we were fine right where we were which is north of the fencing and crap. otherwise we would have had to leave. the main i dea is to staw away from the trails, i'm not exactly sure how far but i'll find out for future refrence.
yeah it was a Phantom game*

It's always a good idea to give a heads up to the Mesa Ranger District Office to let them know you're going to be playing out there, HOWEVER events which are organized and have a large participant base are usually subject to Special Use Permit fees  , which are paid up front. There's alot of gray area in the SUP fees and many times people organize large events without paying (what the heck do we pay taxes for anyway?) when they are charged but it makes it easier to deal with the FS.
PM if you have FS Questions.
-
thanks for the info i was planning on giving them a heads up.. you guys able to make it out? i tried to send an email to your main addy but it said it was undeliverable..
-
Glad to help. I'll shoot an email to one of the FPO's that I know out there and give him a heads up.

i wanted to stick with 18+ for this game- considering the tasks are a little rougher than most and liability would be the main issue for me. i don't have the legal knowledge to write or offer a waiver form either.
let me know what color you want to sign up for
** i'll be posting up a copy of a grid map we'll be using in a couple of days** be sure to bring a copy with you to the game

I've been looking through the list of games to get an idea of the kind that people are setting up. This is exactly the kind of game I'm looking forward to playing. Sorry I can't participate in this one, but this is definitely up my alley.
At the same time, I'm seeing how involved the whole the setup is, which is legit. I'd love to see a follow up post as to how this game turns out.

I would love to go to this game but I might have to go to a wedding that day. If you could please put me down as a maybe and I'll let you know within the next couple of days if I can make it, I would appreciate it.
I haven't gotten any trigger time in for about a year now due to life getting in the way of fun, as usual. This game would be a great way to get back into airsoft for me.
I have desert camo and a woodland top, I lost the bottoms. If you need me to go green I have no problem picking up another set, I'll probably get some new ones anyways eventually.
Thanks!
-
At least 6 for CT coming out. Tan, but we can do whatever.

Tan meaning MultiCam? :D
-
Hey like i might have 6 coming with me. Spiek might be in but i am not sure. I see a very fun time.
-
hey guys got a bit of an update - for those that have an extra ten minutes before or after the game i was planning on asking for voluteers for ten minutes to help pick up trash around the area. reason one being is it would institute some good faith with the mesa ranger district and help keep us in their good graces. most of you know that this is one of the closest places to play that is legal with good various terrain, so i myself think it would be good to consider taking ten minutes after the game to walk around and pick up whatever i see.
if this game goes as well as i want it to i'd like to make it a semi regular occurence, if you are willing to help out, bring a garbage bag. thanks guys
as of right now numbers for the game are around 65-75 -
Thank you for the information and help Bigwavedave i owe you one
-
Rebel Union will be there to help with the trash yammie.

Are you short green or tan at this point. I can't commit yet but I'm curious in case it works out.
-
Will a 4x4 or high clearance vehicle be needed to get to the AO?
Thanks
-
Will a 4x4 or high clearance vehicle be needed to get to the AO?
Thanks
A standard car can make it without stress. Just don't take a low rider in and take care when driving, basically don't drive like your in a rally race. The last guy who thought it would be cool punched a hole in his oil pan.
-
I recruited one more, MGfoley2 +2.
-
haha ok. Thank you for the quick response.

Hello, a couple friends of mine found this thread on this website and we all enjoy airsoft and it peaked our interest and would love to become involved with the airsoft community... blah blah blah...
The point is, we would all like to go but have a couple questions.
Mainly about the colors, is hardwood camo considered tan or green, since there isn't actually any green in it and more shades of brown leafy stuff. Also a couple who would like to go don't have camo (do have guns though...); what is the policy of tan/green shirts with just jeans or other regular pants?
If that would all work out, it will be 4-7 people coming from my group including me.
-
Will 400 fps be the limit for this game?

First of welcome to the world of airsoft and everything it entails. I want to be clear, I am not the host of this game. The host will clarify your questions directly for this event but I wanted to suggest reading some entry level material. This is very out dated but most of the basic information still holds true. http://www.airsoftarizona.com/forumbb/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=5451
If airsoft is something you wish to pursue it is highly recommended and advantageous to have a minimum of 1 "green' and "Tan" colored BDU sets. With these two sets you will be able to easily fill any basic role on any side as most games place green vs. tan colors. Generally showing up in jeans and a t-shirt are not welcomed due to the nature of what we are doing, think milsim. But it is understood if you are wanting to try something out for the first few times before investing in equipment. Look forward to seeing more honorable players out there. Take care.

thanks sarge, i would recomend picking up actual fatigues for my game- you can find pretty much everything you need except for a good pair of boots at Gearbox Airsoft- they are 5 bucks a piece which is extremely low priced considering what i've paid in the past. and to be honest if you can't afford ten buck for fatigues then you probably can't afford the gas it takes to get out to four peaks.
if you are able to pick up a full set of camo then shoot me a message and i'll post you guys up for the event- also be sure to read my initial post all the way through as there are some other strongly recommended things you bring to be prepared.
pm me if you have more questions and i can point you in the right direction.
If that would all work out, it will be 4-7 people coming from my group including me.
yes 400 fps is the set limit it is pretty much THE standard limit for every game on here-

Just to clarify for those who may not understand, that is a 400fps limit using a .20gram BB. IE. about 1.5 joules of energy. Some people tend to think if they use a heavier bb to drop the fps under 400fps they are good, which is absolutely incorrect. Wouldn't want anyone to show up and not be able to play cause they had a hot gun.

**** IMPORTANT ****
WE ARE NOT GOING TO BE AT THE GAS STATION on i87 THIS IS YOUR MEET SPOT- its up to you guys to be at the AO by 0830, so do not wait for me to come back and show you the way.
the reason for this is i need my people out there to get things setup for the game and i only have about an hour to do so.
i know there are a lot of new players coming out
if you've never been out there before talk up with other players at the gas station- and find someone who knows the way out there
or if you aren't sure how to get out there then type these coordinates in the search bar on google. odds are someone will know the way from the gas station- there usually is
- (33.624929388884865, -111.44617080688477) trace the dirt road back to the four peaks exit on the 87 and you'll have a map
thanks
-
Well, shit. This will be my first time out there, so I hope some people will be at the gas station. Google earth says the turn off from I 87 is called N Old Bush Hwy and its 10.4 miles from the gas station. Is this right? Is there a street sign or any other feature that will let me know where to turn? After you turn onto Old Bush Hwy, it looks like, on google earth at least, that there's several turns on the dirt road until you get to to service road 401. Will this be a pain to follow or is it straight forward as in following one road to the AO?
Sorry for all the questions, I appreciate any answers and look forward to meeting you guys.
-
know me i'm usually late to these things or just on time for the game. so if i have to meet you guys there, is it at the place with the little building and that old corral, or what ever it is?
-
yeah that's the place actually they tore down the building though.
dingo- the freeway exit is a "four peaks exit" there are a few turns you need to take once on the dirt road..
look at this link and you can use it to follow

you want to end up on srv rd 401 and right where it u turns is where you pull off
-
Thanks man, that helps a lot, I should be able to find it now. I'll still stop by the Baja Conoco just in case anyone is there to caravan at 8 am, but now I won't be completely clueless in case I'm on my own.
-
I'll volunteer to run a convoy out from the gas station for those new guys. We leave at 8am sharp, I will not wait. I will be in a maroon Jeep Cherokee. FYI, I will probally arrive close to the 8am mark, so if your early don't freak out. If you got radio's I'll be on channel 4.
-
Thanks, Mad Sarge! I appreciate it, I've been out to the AO before, but my memory is very rusty. I look forward to seeing you there.
-
Good man Sarge! I'll be seeing you there, in a black tahoe.
-
Could you add one more under my name, so +3 in total. Thank you!
-
question: will we be able to rearm before we redeploy?
-
Yeah, I'll be there, but I'm not sure what color I'll wear. I'm gonna try to buy some camo on Friday, so possibly tan.
-
My brother and I might be coming out, but I would like to clarify the address of the gas station.
Is this right:
10180 N Fort Mcdowell Rd
Fort Mcdowell, AZ 85264-3004
If not just let me know the correct one. We both have ACU camo so we would be down with the

excellent game today gentlemen! i had a blast... the scenario went very well in terms of the games mechanics, respawn times were dead on allowing both teams to make good pushes and keeping engagements going.
i also want to say thank you to every one out there!!!! every one did a great job calling their shots!! best sportsmanship ive seen in a long time! thank you
-
Yes, really good sportsmanship calling out hits and even complimenting the shooter afterwards, thats what i like to see in airsoft! Good game set-up, I'm glad objectives played a larger part in this event and it wasn't just a hunt for the enemy. Thank you, game organizers.
-
Glad you like it James and Ed worked really hard on it!!there will be more in the future.
-
thanks guys i'll definately be thinking of new game setups for the future i'm thinking after the holidays would be best, this was the biggest turnout i've personally seen in a long time. did anyone get a headcount besides me?
-
i was to busy keepin peoples heads down to count them ;) it was alot of fun though
-
I had a great time too! I cant wait for the next game!
-
Great game and plenty of tango to shoot at. What more could you ask for ? lol

This was my 4th game and I definitely had a lot of fun! Aside from my ass falling in tons of cacti, I really like the location.
Anyone have any pictures from the game? I know that big Santa Claus looking fellow was going around taking pictures at the end and I was hoping to get my hands on some. :D

I attended the game and i had a little mishap. I lost my kjw m9 along one of the trails. some one from the tan team wearing acu told others about it and that they had turned it into someone so that it could be returned to the proper owner. however no one seems to know who that someone is so if they could please contact me by email or I was also told that someone might turn it into gearbox so will be checking back with them regularly. I would be so grateful if it could be returned.

How could you have plenty to shoot at when I saw you 90% of the time with a red rag on your head? Are you counting your own teammates?
-
ice burn
-
haha ouch...
-
always knew you had ice water in those veins mikey...
all i know is there were quite a bit of tan guys deathly interested in the notes inside the cans and coolers :D

90% seems a little high Mikey. More like 65-70% would be more accurate and the majority of that time was waiting for a medic. The last 45 min. of the game was a different story, I had multiple wounded Tan players around me and my teammates with no chance of a medic getting to them. But then again what do you expect out of a fat old guy. It was nice seeing some old friends, the knee held up good so i can't wait for the next one. 8)
