Trigger problems?
« on: January 13, 2013, 09:36:35 PM »
So I use a G&G gr-16 and sometimes when im firing the trigger will get stuck by that I mean it feels like the trigger is in safe mode I cant pull it back at all. Then I switch the fire selector around a few times and all of a sudden the trigger frees up and I can continue to shoot. Also there seems to be little response from my trigger when I do pull it. The best way to describe it is "resistance" on the trigger pull. Any suggestions?

Hello, I run into this problem pretty often. A lot of times it is just a wire. If the gun is rear wired both the positive motor and battery wire rest behind the safety and sometimes they get in the way. This will cause your resistance when you pull the trigger and it will also prohibit the safety latch from returning all the way sometimes. There are several ways the resistance and safety lock can be triggered but the wire is most likely the issue. Have you opened the gearbox at all lately?

Is your gun front or rear wired?

Alright, well it might be as simple as the wiring or there are other complications which can include:

Debris floating around in the trigger area
Loose safety latch screw
The safety spring is bound
Wiring prohibiting proper movement (Most likely the issue)
Cut Off lever issues

Exactly what mosfets are you talking about? If you posted the link it didn't paste on the post

Spazz knows a lot more than I do about the mosfets, but from what he has told me they are one of the best on the market and can handle very high voltage, amperage etc.

I have worked on Over 100 of the G&G raiders. One of my very own seems to do the trigger locking up even though not on safety thing and I have yet to rectify this, my best guess is that the actual lever the selector plate pushes can kind of get stuck sometimes. moving it around a bit might help, the little response issue has been fixed by me dozens of times, either the motor contacts need cleaning or the contacts inside the gearbox, should work good as new if they are cleaned up. As for that mosfet being recomended I own the older AWS raptor fet and I love it to death, 100% happy with it and is worth every penny you'll spend.

no not when i switch it off of safety when its in semi/full auto. Also does spazz do custom work? If so do you know how much he charges etc. cause I think I might get a mosfet but I also need to change my guns connectors to deans, and idk how to do that.

Yes, and at this time they don't offer Raptor replacements.
