Coke Mule
« on: February 25, 2010, 11:16:34 PM »
New game I just came up with.

2-4 people wear backpacks loaded with 20 lbs of powdered sugar, baby powder, crushed smarties or anything to look like cocaine.

6-8 people will be thier escorts "mexican mafia"

6-8 people will try and capture them "border patrol"

The coke mules try to get from point A to point B without being captured. Coke mules have no weapons just a jug of water and some cans of tuna.

Yeah I know it's not an original game type but it's a fun twist.

I think this was called Operation : Columbian Blend.

It's been done and was regarded as fun.

Columbian Blend... that's classic. I was talking to a guy from San Luis AZ(border town) and his english was terrible. That's what gave me the idea, but I like the name Coke Mule better.

Is that the annual event held in Lebenon, TN., at the "Bad Kharma" field? Usually held in September.

As for the scenario. It seems like a good one for small to mid sized games. Maybe 10 - 20 players.

No the tuna isn't necessary but it makes for an authentic loadout.

Columbia Blend was awesome. Best outdoor game I have ever been to. I missed last year's due to work but (2) years ago there were close to 100 players. They actually had an intricate system for determining the winner of the Op. Essentially there were two waring cartels and a ton of "product" (baggies with flour) were pre-positioned to simulate loot from a plane crash. Throughout the day day dice were rolled and the number dictated the price paid per kilo. This caused continuous attempts from both teams to sell product at a designated safe zone. When you shot a player from the opposing cartel your were allowed to confiscate  any kilos that they were carrying.

The scenario will occur many times throughout the day.

During each run through, 2 of the mexicans must volunteer as a mule, setting aside their weapons, leaving up to 6 on the security detail and 8-16 on the U.S. Forces. The assaulters MUST outnumber the defenders.

The route will be subject to change after each scenario.

Overdraft registration to allow players to take breaks.
