AT-4 Rocket Launcher - 600 FT Range
« on: November 21, 2011, 07:22:26 PM »
FOR SALE
AT-4 ROCKET LAUNCHER

  • Range: 600+ FT at 150psi and roughly 20º angle of fire
  • Bore: 50mm (2 inch)
  • Ammunition: Nerf Pocket Aero Flyer (Pocket Vortex) or JCS 2 inch Foam Rocket (JCS recommended for optimal range)
  • Firing Mechanism: Ambidextrous Firing. Safety Pin and Thumb Actuated Firing Lever (Ergonomic Firing Control, allows easy stabilization during firing)
  • Propellant: 4 oz Refillable Paintball CO2 tank. Up to 12 shots per tank
  • Legality: 100% Legal in Arizona. Does NOT use explosive force for propellant. (Illegal to aim or fire at any person(s) or their belongings without their consent) (Due to it's real looks, Do NOT show in public, it looks like the real thing, so the public assumes it's the real thing, treat it as a firearm)
  • Pressure: Adjustable. Lower pressure = more shots per tank and less range. Max Safe Working Pressure = 150 psi
  • Temperature: Max temperature at 150psi = 160ºF If it's too hot to touch, don't pressurize it. (safe to use in the AZ Summer Heat, do not recommend leaving in direct sunlight for extended periods of time)
  • Sling: 2in OD Webbing with Buckle. (Adjustable)
  • Safety: If launcher is over-pressurized, it will discharge the launcher / fire the rocket to prevent an explosion.  NEVER LOOK DOWN THE BARREL, and ALWAYS KEEP POINTED IN SAFE DIRECTION.
  • Serviceability: Can be completely disassembled for repairs as needed. Simple plumbing, very unlikely to fail.
  • Maintenance: Put a couple drops of SILICONE oil in the regulator before screwing on the tank each time. Just like a gas pistol, this launcher has several seals that need oiled regularly. (a little goes a long way, don't over oil or you'll just make a mess)
  • Repairs: The regulator is a Palmer's Pursuit Stabilizer, and can be easily repaired by ordering new seals and/or springs as needed from http://palmer-pursuit.com/cart at a relatively inexpensive cost. The 3 different valves used for fire control are available online or localy at Grainger's. ($7 - $35 depending on which valve need's repaired/replaced)
  • Sold AS IS, no warranty included. I will demonstrate proper operation, and how to disassemble the launcher for repairs if requested before purchase to serious buyers only
  • Includes: 1 - Launcher, 1 - Sling, 1 - 4oz CO2 Tank, 1 - Foam Rocket
  • Operation:
    • Ensure Safety Pin is inserted
    • Unscrew rear cap
    • Add 2 drops of SILICON Oil to the inlet of the regulator
    • Screw "Filled" 4oz CO2 Tank into regulator
    • Ensure pressure is at desired setting, adjust if needed
    • Insert Tank and Regulator Assembly back into rear of Launcher
    • Screw rear cap back on
    • Ensure Safety Pin is inserted again
    • Insert Foam Rocket of choice into barrel
    • Place on preferred shoulder (ambidextrous)
    • Using hand that is on the outside of the launcher, palm the launcher with thumb on firing lever
    • Aim at target, ensure that nobody is in the way
    • Using hand that is not on the firing lever, remove safety pin
    • Using thumb, pull/push firing lever toward front of rocket to fire, release immediately
    • Replace Safety Pin
    • Reload and Repeat until Tank is empty

  • If you fire the launcher in rapid succession (i.e. 10 shots in 30 secs or less) the regulator may freeze and begin to leak. If this happens, remove the CO2 Tank, and allow the Regulator to warm back up.
  • Use at your own risk. Do NOT fire at people, Injury may occur. Safety is YOUR responsibility.

This launcher was used at Operation: Cold Burn II in the Second Assault on the Police Station.  It has also been seen by a few people at Fuji Field during testing. I will try to make a video of it some time and post that up.

$330 FIRM

I can not negotiate price, this launcher cost me well over $500 to build and several weeks to design. (over $600 if you count R&D Costs)
This Launcher should last for years with no Issues if properly maintained and used. However if you do manage to break it somehow, I can repair it for you, if you would like me to. But not for free. We can negotiate repair prices at a later time if needed.

The launcher is at Gearbox, Tempe. Feel free to go take a look. Please DO NOT TOUCH the launcher without permission from Gearbox Staff or Me.

PM me with any questions.

Serious Buyers: If you would like me to meet you at Gearbox AFTER you have already had a chance to look it over and hold it, I can meet you at Gearbox for a demonstration before you purchase it if you would like. Just ask Gearbox Staff to give me a call, or PM me here and I'll schedule a time with you.

It was awsome at Gearbox during the swap meet Nov 20th, with a resounding whump when fired, a super demo by Dayton, as an aside, the for sale ad is hands down one of the best and complete ad's I have ever seen on any forums, GREAT job Dayton.

Another Lonely Bump.

I know its a tough item to sell, but if this doesn't sell by January/February, (looking to move into a house, after that is dead line) I'll probably end up tearing it apart to build my next project with its guts.
