Ammo J&G in prescott sells the ammo the cheapest.

M1 garand can be had for $450-$1200 depending on what your looking for. $1500 would have to be all matching parts never fired from wwII, and have a low serial number. New production dont even go for that. keep checking the surplus rifle sites, gun stores, and shows.

I will keep eye my out for one. I am a collector so I love these things too. They show up time to time, but I think you will most likly get one for $600-$800. Mosin nagants kick ass. I am also a big fan of German K98 Mausers. I am going to be getting a Lee Enfield real soon, and I have not yet had a chance to fire my French MAS or my Mark Jungle carbine.

i love Lee Enfields

one of the fastest and most reliable bolt mechinism in the world not to mention the fucking accuracy and firepower you get Out of a british .303 (if i can remeber the name of the round correctly)

the lee enfield was considered the best rifle in world war one, and the fastest rifle of world war one.

Is that a joke??
I had one as a kid, they were known for being inaccrate, bullets tumbling, etc.  I don't know about it being the 'fastest rifle' (are you talking muzzle velocity or cycle time on the bolt action?  They made 15+ millon of them, so there were a lot, doesn't make it anything special.

Go to CMP and buy a Garand as low as $495 for a field grade version.
$595 for a service grade.

Actually the military channel said that it has a faster bolt action than any other rifle in WW1.

I love and respect pretty much any rifle.

But the M1 is my favorite,

Ill be shure to check out that feild version...

Thank you

Take what the military channel says with a grain of salt, they are not infallible.
