I usually buy the boxed LC XM193 ammo, but if given the choice between the XM193PD, XM855PD or Wolf, I'd go with Wolf every time without even thinking about it.

BTW, you can get Wolf in 62gr...  AFAIK, that's the most common weight of Wolf in .223. 8)

I used to have a russian 9x18 Makarov, not the most common ammo, so I'd buy whatever I could find for the best price.  Turns out wolf was the best price, but there was a reason for it.

The makarov was the most reliable gun I had ever seen, this thing would *never* jam, no matter what you did to it, its a lot like an AK.

The Wolf 9x18 ammo jammed the gun every 20-30 rounds...

it wasn't worth the buck or so a box I'd save.

WHat kind of "jams"?  I'd guess that you mean that you had some failures to fire - not "jams".  Wolf ammo is known for hard primers.

Odd.  Everything I use Wolf in it fires reliably.  The only weapon I have that has an issue with Wolf ammo is my SVD... but then they are pretty picky weapons anyway.  :)

No, not failure to fire, the bullets would not get chambered correctly.

I've used Wolf for .40 & .223 for quite a while.  I've never had a problem feeding with a variety of weapons.  Stinks when fired, but thats the only negative I've experienced.

Unless you had some horribly mis-configured batch of Wolf (which I haven't ever seen), it sounds more like a problem with the firearm or magazine that was being used if you were having feeding issues.

I could deal with the smell...

Again, it only happened when I used wolf ammo, and it happened with every box that I bought (I bought different boxes from different dealers at different times)
