I just got railed by Evike I really did I pre ordered this gun thinking I was going to get it this month latest next, but it turned out they pushed the ETA date back to 11/2010 from the original 09/2010. Man this sucks looks like im going to be getting wrecked at vanguards untill the end of the year. What really sucks is I already bought the Grip, Aimpoint, and Battery for this gun. Im in it for a Tan CQC VFC Scar. The best I found was the same gun in black on AirsoftGI, but its black.....I mean come on nothings better for Arizona than Tan....... :(


Im also having problems with my primary right now, and to get it into the shape it needs to be in its going to cost another $200.00 that's the reason I bought a new Primary.

if you can always buy VFC from VFC.

Ron can get you VFC for base price

pre ordering is annoying anyway :(

Who's Ron? I would love to buy directly but im not buying it MSRP if I can get it for under $400.00 Ill do it in a heart beat man.

Ron is the man who will get you what you NEED. Go to Gearbox, he runs the show there. Also, I'd contact Evike and see if they will refund you your money for the pre-order or give you credit. I pre-ordered a G18 upper, and when the pre-order date got pushed back, I asked 'em to change around my order. I got an email and confirmation within a couple days from my request, and had no problems from that point on. They seem to be very good about things when you contact them without giving them a load of bullsh**/get pissed off. That will make them forget about you (It's now the standard in customer service world-wide).

- Send them an email requesting money back or credit
- Tell them you're wants if you asked for in-house credit
- Wait for your money or items to get to you

This worked for me last time I ordered from them (and only time I ordered might I add)

ron's name here on AA is "nil8r". if you can't make it down to the shop (gearbox airsoft, mcclintock and southern in tempe), then send him a PM and ask. or you can call the shop up, just google "gearbox airsoft" for all the info you need.



as far as evike, that has happened to maaaannyy of us.. if you want a refund, they will give you one. if you want to swap the item out, they will do that with a 10% tolerance (is it 10%, or 20%? i can't remember)


lessons to be learned:

1) don't purchase anything labeled "pre-order" unless you are ready to really wait.
2) call before you purchase anything, get the rep to confirm they have your item(s) in stock
3) order from a site with better stock management


i also have a shorter rifle on back-order through evike, but i have other rifles/pistols i can use in the meantime.. if you want your new rifle that bad, you can either get something to get you by in the mean time (used), or talk to ron and see what he can do for you. either way, having a secondary rifle isn't a bad idea... i would suggest looking through the listings here on AA and seeing if anything is appealing

If anyone has noticed, evike has been doing this since about Jan... they say the gun will be in next month, and then the next month they say the same thing... Its been that way with about 85% of their inventory...

It's funny. I placed my pre-order with them 3 months in advance from ETA to their warehouse. I was a bit pissed when they removed the pre-order slide assembly from the KWA/KSC page, and put it in the "New, upcoming parts" or some other bs. That, as well as the extra two month wait time they added to it, made me mad.

Oh no, something i haven't seen before, an evike horror story, Truth is they are having troubles with shipments and inventory, so basically so the company doesn't go down, they are still willing to take your cash, use ASGI or Ehobby, lesson learned

Actually, they've been doing this for about 5 years.  People are just starting to notice again.

I had the same thing happen to me the past two orders. This last time was the final straw and I told them that I wanted a complete refund and that it was BS that they don’t but on their site when an item was backordered and that they lost mine and my friends business. I got a reply the same day telling me that they had "found" the item I ordered and were sending it first class mail with a $10 gift card. The email was very apologetic and they hope that the gift card was a satisfactory apology gift.
