VERY nice!  Kind of similar to the real steel I'm in the process of acquiring right now, 'cept mine has a crinkle finish on the stock.

In the mag is a good thing, IMO.  As for temperature concerns, the only time that seems to be an issue is at night.  And for that the M14 will be way too hot anyway.  Nighttime is the (other) realm of my (planned) M4 with the 10-inch CQB barrel.

I would seriously consider the G&G M14 if I could turn it into this:

No way man! If you're gonna shorten that thing, how about the M1A SOCOM? http://www.springfield-armory.com/prod- ... ocom.shtml
I'd get one of these if I didn't already own an M1A (which I love dearly).

Or that...  They are both quite sexy.  According to the Renegade Recon M14 preview (http://www.renegaderecon.com/recon_details.php?id=400) G&G will be releasing shorter barrels, scope mounts and other accesories around the time of the M14 release.  What I would do with it all depends on what they release.

 QUICK Busta, pass me the Krylon!

We must not allow a single BLACK M14 to penetrate our ranks.  If you buy one, paint it at once! :o

Hell ya it would!!! They might come out with wood in the future. But it's so much more fun to have a plastic body to paint anyway.

Wood furniture would be cool...But honestly..Why not just paint it OD? Like the composite stock thats(from what I know) is on the m14's now.

Krylon, or get some Dura-Coat from Brownells.  Much more durable.  As for color, OD is nice, but not really practical around here, since there's very little that's green.  I'd use khaki, either leaving it plain, or maybe breaking up the outline with a little OD or some thin streaks of brown.  All-black is for CQB...or Hollywood.

Wood just gives class to any weapon. Hope they have a wood stock version!

Considering a review I saw on the G&G GR16, I find myself less than excited.

I never read a heavy review on the G&G GR16. Where did you find it? From what you said it would seem lacking in ability.

Well, more like lacking in quality.  I'll see if I can find you a link to the review.  It seemed like the review was rather well done but I'll let you judge for yourself.
