Try the Galaxy mp5k. Takes mp5 mags, but is super small so it is awesome for cqb.

I honestly prefer AKs but i would have to concur with an short m4. I they can accept all sorts of grips, lasers, scopes, flashlights, ect. (if it has rails). It's normally a faster reload as well since the mag smoothly drops out instead of you having to manually remove it... so you can grab the next mag while the 1st mag is still in the process of dropping out of the mag well (not that important but I'm just trying to sound professional) If you want something different than an AR-15, i would probably go with an short AK or G36c. :EDITED >Another gun I think you should look @ is an AUG or TAR-21. Short guns with long barrels are great for any situation. O:)

The beta ak, or a 74 with a folding stock would be good if you want that whole spetsnaz thing. Otherwise, there's a few good mp5's for sale right now. Personally I would prefer a shorter m4 or maybe some type of Submachine gun (mac10, mac11, things like that.)  Its all a matter of what you like. If you like the feeling of mp5's, and you can share mags with your nephew, that's a plus. And your already pretty familiar with it :)

If you want an AK get the 74u, for M4s get a stubby or pistol M4, g36c for the G36, the list goes on. the Dboys 74u isnt a bad gun if you want to go with that model. Other than that make it an Echo1 or better. Oh and wrong part of the forum, this is for suggestions on how to improve the forum, not your loadout.

He wants a cqb gun. Odds are, if the ak is anything like KWA's m4, m16, or g36, the FPS will be well over CQB limit, not to mention its an ak, very long and unwieldy in close quarters.

Not all of there guns are 400fps. Their sr7 shoots around 350 along with their 2gx cqbr models. not to mention KWA is making an AKS-74U model as well as foldable stocks for the full length models.
