Bump for a great, great seller, this guy is legit and when he says excellent condition he means it. I'm thoroughly pleased with the EoTech I bought off him and would recommend buying from him to anyone. I did like he said he would in this post and he shipped the item to his father I met with him to inspect it. Again I was thoroughly pleased with everything from first and all contact to mounting it to my AR-15 to now, he is good people and so is his dad. Oh and your dad is super cool btw Darrell, I had a great convo with him! Tell him I said hi and thanks for meeting with me!

Thanks for the kind words Robby.  Much appreciated.  I'm glad you are happy with what you got.  By the way, my dad enjoyed talking to you to.

This includes a JPoint red dot sight, dot sight mount, iron sight, killflash, lens cover and carry case.  If you were to buy this set up new is will cost about $1,375.  I'm asking $750 which is almost half price or best offer.  Other than your normal wear which can be seen from the photos. It is in very good condition and the optics are in excellent condition.  The only issue it has is the left screw that holds the iron or dot sight mount is a little loose when you screw it in at first but tightens when in all the way.

Item is in California.  Shipping is free.  I can send it to my parents house in Anthem if you wish to inspect the item before you buy.  Please pay in cash or by Paypal.

Airsoft Items FOR SALE / $$ SOLD $$ Trigger Happy Elcan scope
« on: March 28, 2010, 03:16:19 AM »
$$ SOLD $$

For sale is a Trigger Happy Elcan scope with illuminated green & red reticles for $170 OBO.

It is in excellent condition.

Despite these being replicas, they are excellent scopes and very durable and are a step above the Chinese knock offs. The nicest feature about these scopes is that they are one of very few scopes that can zero in at 40~50 yards. Most scopes (even most airsoft scopes) are designed too zero in at 100 yards plus.

These scopes with illuminated reticles are also very hard to find these days. If you can find one, they are $325 + new.

Scope comes with rubber cap for rear lens. (Not shown in picture)

Item is in California.  Because of the high price for this item I will send by FedEx and pay for shipping.  Item can be sent to Anthem for pick-up.

AEG's / Re: Removing the flash hider on a CA M249 Mk-II barrel

We locked the barrel in a barrel clamp (so it wouldn't get scratched by the vice) and used an AR multi-wrench to take it off.  You could use an adjustable wrench to get the same result.  No heating required, just locked the wrench on to the flash hider and eased it back and forth for a few minutes to break up the glue.  Once I figured out for sure that it was clockwise, I just spun it off.  There's an o-ring at the base that also tightens the threads.  Hope that helps others who are trying to do the same!

Hey Batman

Nice review.

I thought your pictures were fine but could have used some lighting improvement.  I find it's best to do it during the day.  But if you do it at night or in a dark room, it's best to turn on all the lights in the room even if you have a flash.  Also, most digital cameras today have multiple preset mode.  Take the same picture in several or all the different modes and see what works best.  Anyway, your pictures were clear and sharp enough to see the details on the gun.  That is what is most important.

The gun looks very nice but the upper receiver almost seems to have a glitter to it.  Is this because of the flash or does it look like that in the sun too.

Please follow up later with a second performance review after several battles.  I enjoy reading how well a gun takes and doesn't take abuse in the field, shooting performance and how it affect your playing style.

I don't want anything that's made to explode going off anywhere near my head, whether it's a replica or the real thing is a moot point.

When you try to simulate killing people, it's difficult to keep the realism going when you're trying to prevent exactly what you're imitating.

I'm not understanding what you are afraid of.  If a CO2 grenade accidentally goes off at close range or someone accidentally shoots you at point blank.  To me the risk are the same.

One thing we do when using devices like this we yell "grenade" so that someone isn't totally surprised and gets nailed at close range.

Personally I like it when something goes boom!  It adds to the over all experience.  Our group uses machine gun and artillery sim-fire all the time.  If you really want to crank it up a notch, get one of these.

Since you have the Inokatsu Mk-43.  My guess is that the Inokatsu M240's performance should be similar.  I've also heard that Inokatsu in general are usually good performers.  Another thing I heard is that the Inokatsu M240 had a more heavy duty body.  But since I've never seen one I can't really say for sure.

As for VFC gear boxes, this is the first gun I've owned that has had one.  I have had no problems with mine what so ever.  However, I had all the internal stripped and replaced with high quality parts from the start.  So I'm not sure if that made a difference or not.

By the way, if you are interested in seeing what the VFC gear box look like in the TH M240 go to this link http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6981761473105456457#  This is actually a gear box for the VFC M-60 Mk-43 but with the exception to the trigger assembly, it looks identical to mine.

The biggest influence in my decision in buy the TH M240 was the video review from the Dutch guys from AATV that did the review on the Inokatsu M240.  When they shot it, the grouping of the BB shots where horrible.  I was dismayed that for $2,000 the gun shot like a shot gun.

Anyway, if you have the time, I would like to see a review on your Inokatsu M-60 Mk-43.

Sweet!

I've been thinking of getting some myself.  Are they as loud as they say they are?

Grenades are much more effective in a CQB environment but they do come in handy out doors every now and then.

There is a new airsoft grenade that came out recently.  It's called "Thunder B".  It doesn't spray any BBs.  It just makes a loud bang like a stun grenade and the price is relatively cheap compared to some other airsoft grenades.  Just google Thunder B airsoft grenades.  There are quite a few videos on You Tube too.

Unfortunately there is not a whole lot out there.  The best reviews I found are the one's that you already mentioned.

Just from looking at the pictures I think the Trigger Happy M240 is nicer and cleaner.

The major advantage that I think the Inokatsu M240 has of over the TH M240 are spare parts.
http://airsoftnews.eu/e107_images/newspost_images/inokatsu_accessories_0603.jpg
Spare parts for the TH M240 are nonexistent.  The only way you can get them is to buy another gun.

The ammo box mount is also much more durable but the electrical and BB attachments look cluttered and unrefined.  Also the bar that the ammo box is attached to, attaches to the gun by using the mounting holes on the gun.  Which means that you can't mount it on a tripod or vehicle.  For most people though this is probably not an issue.

The one thing I thought that was a real turn off was the neon blue color of the gear box and the BB tube attachment that hooks up to the gun. :-&  There is some nice camouflage color for you. [-(

As for a performance comparison I can't say.  I can tell that with the internal modification I made to mine.  It is by far one of the best shooting airsoft guns I have ever owned over the last 20 years [smilie=armata_pdt_12.gif]
