Battery upgrading.
« on: March 07, 2011, 11:40:45 AM »
i probably already know the answer to my question but would just like to make sure. so i put an M110 spring in my M4 (firing at 386 fps) and the 9.6v battery im using just isnt quite cutting it with the spring. the trigger response is pretty lame and the rof has gone down quite a bit. i was thinking of getting a 10.8v NiMh in the hope that it would give me the trigger response and rof i had with the spring that came stock in it with the 9.6v (firing 364 fps) the part thats making me question a battery upgrade though is that the fps boost isnt all that much. but since im no expert i wanted to ask.

Try a new motor before a bigger battery, imo.

If you can find one in stock, G&P M120 HiSpeed.

That motor will pull your spring no problem, and give you quicker trigger response with that 9.6v to boot.
