Wow.... wasn't that only covered about 8 posts back? Huh.... Im sure, however that such a miniscule detail required such a long and decisive post to set it straight. good job!

I'm predicting Airsoft is going to be in real trouble.

The negatives outweigh the positives in most cases (accidental shootings, scared citizens, etc), and it would look good on some politician's bio that he/she led the charge to get realistic 'toys' outlawed.

I just think the writing in on the wall, and the more liberal politicians we elect, and the more left society leans the more likely it is for this hobby to end as we know it.

So if you guys have such a poor opinion of our society, and have no faith that we as a people would stand up then why don't you move? Seems like a reasonable thing to do if your apparently so fed up with our country. Or, how about this. Why don't you, oh I don't know, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT? Ya know, besides sit around and complain on an internet forum.

I want to take this day to mention the effect that a common man CAN have in this great Country.

On Dec 4, 1933 the prohibition against alcohol was repealled in this Country.  Yes, it seems that dangerous alcohol was not fit to be in the hands of the people so it was banned.

But we never stopped drinking did we?  We made that booze in the hills and the cellars, sold it from the back of truck beds, turned smuggling into an art form.

So everyone should (and I think its your civic duty to do so) lift a pint, a shot, a martini, an old fashioned, whatever your preference, to the correction of a failed attempt to legislate morality.

And all you morons who claim the world is coming to an end because of Obama need to slaptheshit out of yourselves.  Your conclusions are without logical structure and your arguments are based on ill-educated opinions and hysteria.  STFU already.

The dude hasn't even taken office yet (other than the "office of the president elect").  And once he does he can't make legislation anyway.  Even if the AWB comes back its not like we can't still get pre-ban weapons.  Guns will not be banned in this country.

This kind of hysteria happens everytime we get a new prez....   and historically, the Constitution remains intact - even if there are temporary infringments such as the ban on alcohol.

In the end - we still win.

I'll drink to that...

one quick point of correction Doc, the sale, manufacture, and transportation of alcohol for consumption but NOT the consumption. If you had it you could drink it.

Not that it really maters much, but Obama cant do SHIT with out Congressional approval.  He might want to ban pink shirts on Wednesday, but cant do a damn thing with out approval.(that was just an elaborate example.  he doesn't want to ban pink shirts on Wednesday.)  The President, even if you don't like him, cant be blamed for really anything!!!!  Its ALL Congress.  If you wanted to change the Nation, vote all the old mingebags outa office.  And unlike the President, Congress can be recalled out of office ANY time.

Doc, rhetoric aside, I dont' think that all that is the important part. Guns might not get banned, but, you will only be able to get .22LR Rugers with capacities of less than ten, the ammo is going to cost a trillion dollars, and the price of preban weapons is going to go up 1000%.

This all brings to mind a Chris Rock skit, where the punchline is, "Nigga, I am gonna go get about five thousand dollars, buy a bullet and CAP YO MOTHAFUCKIN ASS'."

Very appropriate. If ammunition is microcoded and taxed so heavily that nobody can afford it except the top 1% of society, it might as well be banned.

I am more worried about a permanent, stricter AWB and an increase in the FET on ammunition.

As a fun aside - for all the retards who think that confiscation will happen, it won't. The Government will just make possession of banned weapons a felony and create an amnesty turn in period. Anything after that is felony possession.

How simple.

If you were considering fighting back - get about 900,000 friends who aren't pussies. If it's just you, well, Lon Horiuchi will have a few matters to discuss with you.

I hear you Vince.  Seriously tho after watching this country for say 25 or 30 years with the capacity to understand I feel pretty good that the AWB wont be back anytime soon.  Not with Heller, the sitting Supremes and terrorism.  And Obama wont likely be in a position to replace the Gun Supporting Supremes - its the liberals that are old and most likely to retire anyway...   but we will see ...

My post was more about beer and drinking than anything else and I had the perfect opportunity to use some of the local rhetoric to introduce my "drink up - its your civic duty" campaign.

And Polie, you are not now, nor will you ever be in a position where you are qualified and competent to add anything to my posts.  If I upset you then well ...Eatadik you fukking pussy....
