Semi auto, my full auto Thompson hasn't been built yet... soon though.

That thing you're referring to is an anchor plate that holds the trigger and safety in place.

Is that a stain or something on the stock? Or just a shadow? How many rounds can that beast of a drum hold?

Ok, I really dont know and Ive read it enough, what does SBR stand for, is it Special (something) rifle?  What would you do to a gun to sbr it.  Something also tells me that paco is talking out his ass asking that question about a tommy gun.

Huh?  You think that's the barrel length that a Thompson was MEANT to have?  It's only that long because of the 1968 GCA.

I won't SBR it, not when I'll have a full auto M1 Thompson soon enough.  Yes that's a stain on the stock.  The grease inside the rear of the stock must have warmed up during transport and oozed out from under the butt plate.  It will clean off though with the proper chemicals.  It's too valuable as it is since Auto Ordnance is now owned by Kahr mfg and the quality of the new Thompson is not up to the same level as when Auto Ordnance use to make them, at least that's what everybody is saying.
