I've seen tests such as this before, albeit not as extensive.

I'm impressed!

I've read that thread 100 times, and I think they cheated with the USP Compact .45!

Yea, cause I'm often sticking my gun in massive ammounts of mud and then leaving it salty water for days.... then running over it with a car and accidently dropping it out of an airplane.  Ah the life of being a double O.   ;)

Seriously though, I think Glocks are crap.  I don't like the feel, the low weight or the action.  Not to mention, far to over-priced.  I'll stick with my Steyr GB, even if it means I can't be lazy and have to actually take care of cleaning my weapon.  ;)

Drop that thing from an airplane onto pavement and see if it is still intact.

I love my Glock and trust that it is well made.

Glocks work fine but are truly ugly devices. Me, I'll take a 1911. I find that 1911's just "point" better. Of course, this can be remedied if I stuck to just glocks and compensated over time through muscle memory. My opinion about pistols on the battlefield is that they rank right up there with edged weapons.

long before the days of platic pistols we had a very reliable 1911...  I like Glocks, but if I could only have ONE handgun it would not be a Glock.  But since there are no such restrictions......

Glocks simply work, there is no discussion needed for this.  If you don't like them thats cool, whatever works for you is your choice.  But saying they are crappy compared to another pistol is stupid, they are tools that do their job and can take a beating and keep on blastin.

Glock is my first and only gun I own so far. I've taken it apart down to the last part and put it back together with just one tool. Can't do that with many other guns.

meh, i've been on the range on really dusty days and had glocks jamming, and I always clean my guns.

I like my glock, but I don't think its as reliable as they are claiming.

I learned to shoot hanguns on a Glock 17 and been shooting the same one since before I could drive a car... never had one jam. if I stilled carried, it would be the one I'd trust to work, every time.

Not a big gun person myself, but that's enough to make me want to buy a Glock.

HK supporter.  here is another old link.

The companies history, contracts, & reputation speak for themselves.
For general users like us the Glock is still a better weapon than most out there, just as PHX COBRA said.  That is why most police departments use them.
