LCV Kits
« on: April 05, 2006, 09:07:18 PM »
I remember last year, Andy or someone made a thread for people to show off their LCIV kits. I loved that thread. I thought an LCV Kit thread would be a good idea, since I hear a few people getting a few things. So, who's up for showing off what they'll be using?

I'll post a picture of mine as soon as I finish one or two more things for the kit. If it matters, it's a mix of my old, my new, and my not mine.

And maybe this should have gone in the appropriate forum, but who knows.

Bumping the thread to see if anyone forgot, but would like to post. I'll get mine up ASAP, but it's not done yet.

Ok. This is just pathetic. I don't care how much of you gear whores critique my kit, I'm gonna post it anyways. Cause you're all lazy.

First is the front view.

Here is the back view complete with howler launcher attached.

Next is a better view of my rig. (And yes I am still going with the vertical pistol mount. Why? Cause I CAN!)

And here is me with my howler launcher deployed. (Notice how my M4 still hangs by my side. I rigged up a pretty cool retention sytem for it. and i'm completely mobile with it hanging there.)

Where are you carrying your howlers? Is that was the large GP pouch is for?

I'm carrying 6 howlers in the medium GP pouch on my side; and then a few more in the large pouch on my back. The GP pouch on my back though is going to be more my lunch, extra bb's, etc.

I'm still waiting on a couple of things, but that's most of it.

It's an Eagle Plate Carrier with mostly Paraclete and Coyote Tactical pouches.

Ah, yes, the gear thread turned into somewhere around 31 pages, largest in AA history IIRC. Although I am not going to LCV.....Thought I would share last years rig as it is one of my only pics left on my computer(by the way this rig ended up kicking my ass all weekend with a total of 13 mags and somewhere around 6 pistol mags.)

I think it will work Ivan. It's not meant to look good. It's meant to make your weapon disapear.

I guess, like you, I'm kinda 50/50 on that. It looks like it would be effective, but I can't really say whether it looks cool or not.

I tried to be very conservative with the paint  :? just enough to lose the majority of the shiny blackness..
