Schedule of events for tomorrow:
0730-0830: Check-In and Chrono
0830-0900: Game Briefing
0900-1630: Games
1630: ENDEX

We will be doing a scaled down version of the Battlefield format I was planning to do out at Florence. Depending on the numbers that show up we may do limited respawns for each evolution

Its still going to be Russian vs NATO forces.  Russian will be in green, and NATO in tan patterns.
Acceptable green patterns are Woodland, Woodland MARPAT, OD, Russian patterns, DPM, woodland/jungle Tigerstripe, and if you want - Black.
Acceptable tan patterns are 3 color desert, tan/khaki, Desert MARPAT, desert Tigerstripe, Desert DPM, and Multicam.
The Guard has requested that ACU not be worn by players.

This will be a Battlefield style event, much like what has been put on in the past down at SASCO several times.  Several positions will be designated across the AO that your team will need to capture and hold to accumulate points.  Additionally, there will be the occasional "supply drop" that your team will want to recover to gain bonus points.

Its short notice, but I plan on going.
I had a lot of fun at all the other Combat Challenge Ops and I'm looking forward to this one.

I have been harassed by others to host a make up game for those who couldn't make my last one.  I already have names on the roster, so that fills up the ACU side - no room there so you gotta wear something else.

Same place as last time, be there at 8am.

Post up or PM me if you want to go.

The battle is over, but the war rages on.  The war economy of the world has an insatiable hunger for the fighting to continue...

Airsoft Items FOR SALE / FOR SALE: Boots and Russian Camo

Partizan Camo Russian Sniper Suit.  New, never used.
Very nice and unique pattern.  This suit is for sniping, which I do not do.  I am holding out for a different uniform in the same pattern.  I forget the size I asked for, but it I know I asked for a size a little bigger than I would usually wear.  For those that know my size this fits me comfortably and would fit someone a little bigger than me quite well also.

$140

Bates M6 in Coyote Brown.  Nothing wrong with these, I just prefer the M9 version more.  Worn a few times hiking.
Size 9.5 R.
$40

Alta Hot Weather Desert Boots.  This is Desert Storm era stuff.  Purchased from a DRMO auction sometime back.
Size 10 R.  Don't let the age and price of these boots scare you.  I wore these boots all day at OP Lion Claws 3 with no sore feet after.  Much better results than my Oakley Boots I wore the following year.  These boots have served me well in many campaigns.  Cushy insoles included.
$10

Bates M6s on the left, Altas on the right.

Reviews / Red Dog Radio Remote Antenna
« on: September 03, 2007, 08:10:13 PM »
I had Tom at Red Dog Radios fill a custom request for gear for me.
I wanted to relocate the antenna on my Icom F4 radio to a different spot.  I always carry one radio on the front of my body, so the antenna is in the way in one form or another.  One solution to this was to deal with it, or the other was to move the antenna to a different spot out of the way.
I had made one attempt with a homemade version, but the connections were weak because I did not have the proper adapter connections.  After several conversations with Tom about this, he came up with this -

Using a "Icom MX" to BNC adapter he was able to fashion a LMR195 cable to connect to the radio leading to the antenna.  I was then able to relocate to a different location on the back of my gear.

I left the cable showing in this pic.  I usually have it tucked underneath the mag pouches.

I put the antenna as far up on my body as I could with it interfering or getting in the way of all the ninja rolls and leaping I do playing airsoft.  In this position there is probably also the small additional benefit of RX/TX clarity.

To finish it off I had the gear gurus at the Coyote Tactical Gear Labs in Tempe, AZ come up with this handy MOLLE mounted mast holder for the antenna.  It holds the antenna in place very securely where ever I decide to mount it.

I like it, and it works very well for me.  Toms workmanship is top notch with this piece of kit!  With the addition of the antenna mast holder everything is complete for you to start chatting up the airwaves with tacticool banter between you and your friends.  If this is something you might be in the market for I highly recommend Red Dog Radio!
