See I am at a impasse, with my Gr-25 they only make highs for it and I like mids and from what I have heard other Sr25 style mags dont feed or fit well in the G&G. But there is a convenience in high caps but mids are definitely the way to go because of the realism for sure.

I love my star Pmags. I have the 80 round ones and they are awesome. The only problem is, you have to tape them because they wobble a bit. Wobbling isn't an issue usually, but if I don't push my mag forward, it doesn't feed. Other than that they rock!

I have a strange mix of all 3. I carry 2 of each type for now.

I don't really care either way about the realism of each either, they all work for me.

Before I started playing with AA I was definitly a high-cap user.
Why, because it's a lot easier to wind a wheel then take a mag out, reload, and pray you don't get hit.

However now that I've had the chance to expereience a legit game more along the lines of Milsim, I PREFER mid-caps so much more over hi-caps.
The only reason why I don't use standards is because my load-out doesn't have a lot of mag pouches, not to mention I prefer the lower-profile rig so carrying fewer Mags that hold more rounds is the perfect set-up for my style.

As for midcaps vs. hi-caps.
Mid-caps feed much cleaner and more reliably. They don't skip rounds especially on guns that use a higher voltage batter or have certain gear-box mods to increase RPMs.
Mid-caps don't rattle and they give you the excitement of reloading (Seriously changes the entire game play making it a lot more fun)(There's a certain feeling about tagging someone and popping a new mag in you just don't get from hi-caps).
Mid-caps are fairly affordable in price as far as Star or Mag mags go (I prefer MAG) so it's affordable to re-do your loadout.
And the given, hi-caps are fairly homo.

That said, I use MAG mid-caps (100rd).
However I still carry one hi-cap as a just-in-caser if they are allowed at that certain game I am attending.
I also carry 2 pistol mag speed-loaders (90rd) and have a dump pouch for my discarded mags ($10 from ebay).
I also carry a small bag of bbs in a zip-lock bag so they don't rattle.

Perfect median, and they make playing much more realistic and exciting.

I personaly like to use both, and it just deppends on what for me. If I am just gonna play with a few friends on a weekend game, I'll just use my 1st loadout and mix it up, I've got a drum, and high cap for my g36e2 and my secondary AK47C has 2 high caps, unless I use my Vietnam loadout. If I am going to a MilSim game and they require midcaps, no problem. With my Vietnam loadout I have a CA M15a1, I have only 1 high cap for that and 7 mid caps for it. Usually if I was being a support guy, high caps. If I was just a regulair rifleman, mid caps. Although I still love my g36 drum mag no matter what. :)

People keep talking about how midcaps feed better, but my STAR G36 mags tend to have to bbs jam inside them.  (using KSC, G&G or TSD, doesn't matter)  IDK WHY STAR gave enough inside the mag for two bbs to be jammed like that, but it happens.....

I've never had issues with my highcaps missfeeding unless they are broken.  G36 high caps are very good in my experience.  M4 highcaps are sucky though....  MP5 high caps are even worse.

If the field allows highcaps, I bring my mids and 1 or 2 high caps because I KNOW they will work, my mids seem to be kinda iffy.

Well it all depends on what gun your using obviously... and it depends on what you think. If you have tried hicaps and midcaps for the same gun and one works better than the other than you'll want to use that one. But I would personally say that if the gun has a high ROF rate and midcaps feed better than the highcaps get multiple midcaps and stock up on munitions lol  =P~

Exactly.  It seems the last few bbs get jammed for some odd reason. Other than that, the seem to feed fine.

although, stealthmaster, in my experience with the m4 hicap mags, I have never really had any trouble... but wouldn't you say thats what the unjamming rod is for lol

They seem to feed alright, but they just don't feed as many bbs per wind.  A fully wound JG G36 highcap can pretty much empty 3/4 of the mag. My SRC G36 mags get a little over half I'd say as well.

My friend has always had issues with his JG MP5 highcaps, but it could be him.........lol

I agree with MP5 highcaps cause for some reason they just don't want to cooperate lol, but the M4 ones, in my opinion, have been great. My freind's SPR M4's mags work great.
