I guess I accidentally sent this in a PM instead of a reply to the topic:

I don't like the idea of having a microjet going around strafing people on an airsoft field. Any number of mistakes could be made (pilot, mechanical, electrical, or random signal loss) that can then leave you with a several pound object traveling at high rates of speed... pointed at a person.

I find that idea to be both dangerous and irresponsible.

Then let's not forget the costs your out the uav and whatever you pay for it then toss in the potential lawsuits and medical costa of someone getting hurt. And you can run into a lot more trouble then its worth

hold on a second..

can you add an option to your poll? something like ... "yes, but i would not be able to resist the urge to fire my weapon up at such a creation with full intent of hitting it and causing it to crash into the ground"?

well if something like that would be implemented, you would always have the one person that is going to shoot at it when nobody is looking..

and if people are concerned about being "fair", then i would just say make sure each team has the same chance to acquire the asset!

i would go with a helicopter for a uav...it can hover and if you get a real good camera you can hover high enough to be out of range for even a sniper to hit it...

have to think your ganna be shooting up against gravity and the air that rushes down to keep the heli aloft...i can almost be sure that the .25g bb will do no damage at 400-500ft up after gravity and the down force will have no affect... thats what i was planning

The only thing about a heli is how stable would it be? the camera feed would go all over the place and would require heavy modding for the transmitter to be put in, I have a question, anyone got an old laptop or portable DVD player?  :D

Im starting to look into helis and i might go with that, but if anyone is going to blood money and wants me to bring it out to test i need extra $$$, Buy some of my stuff on sale so i can finish this project before then please =D
