New zombie game at Fightertown?
« on: July 20, 2011, 12:48:42 PM »
What do you guys think of another zombie game at Fighterown? Basicly, their is a set number of survivors and a set number of sodiers. Their "safe zone" is the large group of killhouses on field 3 at Fightetown. In order to survive, the survivors and soldiers need to retrieve a series of objects that are scattered throughout the field. The objects will have glowsticks tied to them and squad leaders will receive  maps that show where the objects are. The zombies will try to stop the survivors and soldiers from getting these objects. If you are tagged by a zombie, you have to sit thier comes and get's you. If you call out medic and you are not rescued in 10 minutes, than you can proceed back to the "safe zone". Their will be one medic per squad. The zombies are not able to enter the "safe zone". You will only have three lives. After you are tagged three times, you must exit the field and get ready for the next round. Survivors will only be able to use pistols. Soldiers will not have any type of weapon restrictions. Although, once you run out bbs, their will also be ammo scattered on the field as well. They will also be on the map that the squad leaders have. Zombies will be allowed to carry SOFT melee weapons (pool noodle, nerf sword, nerf ax, ext). Zombies will also be allowed to run. Once shot, zombies will not be able to move or do anything for 10 seconds and they have unlimited lives. Sound grenades will be allowed. I'll have to run it by Henry, but INTERNAL combustion smoke grenades may or may not be allowed. And when I say "tag", I mean a tap on the shoulder. So, what do you guys think? Feel free to make any suggestions?

I heard there was a lot of problems with the use of airsoft guns against the zombies, a combination of rapidly closing range and a panicking shooter I've heard has gotten people injured. Personally I love this idea, but some events have the survivors and soldiers only able to use nerf weapons against the zombies. Something to conisder

What if we did semi auto only? That's a good point, if their was someone with a box mag and they were firing like their was no tomarrow, their could be some issues.

I suppose that would be a solution. I haven't as of yet been able to find the post, but there was one I read and if I remember correctly, there was one injury from a GBB within 10 feet. Although maybe the zombies can only be fired at from certain distances, then nerf weapons? To be honest when it gets intense like zombie games usually do, i'm probably not going to pay all that much attention to range. I'll see if maybe there's a way to make this work, it sounds like a blast.

I saw that too. Was it the picture where the guy got a bb stuck in his forehead at Vanguard? Theirs going to be FPS limits and all guns are going to be chronoed. And if i'm not mistaken, it was a little kid running around with one of those WG Xtreme co2 pistol. I'm not saying that older guys would never use super high fps guns, but i'm assuming they would be responsible enough to not. Another thing that could be done is have a 16+ age restriction. That may or may not work, idk.

What about the "Surrender", or "Bang, Bang" being used?

What should the time limit be in between missions? I was thinking 30 minutes?

One of the things I would consider is no head shots on zombies AT ALL. only center mass hits kill them, this makes it easier to not get injured, you have to focus on the target area not just shooting in its direction. The thing people forget about zombie games is you should have a limited ammount of ammo, in a zombie apocolypse your not going to have unlimited ammo. Start with 150 rounds or so and make it more challenging for the players. Also have the people who are zombies act like zombies, get into character it makes it more fun and less of a game.
