I believe that the hatfield a.o is state land. And if that is true I don't think you can charge a fee to play there. Better ask some of  the higher UPS on the forum. Saguaro plays at hatfield all the time, don't want to end up loosing our field to someone who didn't Dot their I's and cross there t's.

It's not a fee to use the land, it's a fee to participate in an event taking place on said land, although I am no lawyer, I think you can pitch it as that. Anyway, the fee is really just trying to break even on prop purchases, I'm not making any money on this, it's a game for the players by the players.

What would Desert Digital Count as? I didn't get a chance to read through the whole OP.

Most likely December 3rd (1st Saturday of the month)

Desert Digital (ACU) is Monolith.

Now my only concern is the limited size of Hatfield AO vs. the amount of interest, would it be big enough for 60 players? On about 6 separate factions?

I agree with Red Devil, I would be careful about using state land for such a large event, I'd suggest calling a Peoria Government Office or something of the sort and figure out land use-age.

Back when I Dirtbiked, You had to pay for a Recreational State Land Permit to ride on state land or risk a fine.

Who owns the Hatfield AO location? If it's owned by the State land and Trust Dept. then I need to file for a permit, if not then I don't need to.

You can use the land but if you are going to charge money  no matter whar its for you need to get a permit for that. I looked it up when we were trying to find new places to play airsoft. Permit is free if there are no monetary gains. That means if money is going to your hands for any reason you need to get a permit. You need to seriously check into this! I will post the website when I find it..

the parcel number is 201-22-005a. Its owned by arizona state land department. But it doesnt say if its for sale or not. So who know?

But to the south of hatfield, llc owns it

If its state land you need a permit for any kind of money exchange and the limit is 20 people for thay permit. Dragon I just  don't want hatfield suddenly to be off limits to us or anybody else that plays there. You know its a cool place for airsoft.

I agree, I don't want to jepordize the location because we "over did it" with this game. I'm going to try and file for the land permit, so I'll see how that goes. Well do any of you know of another location that I could look at, while I look more into getting this approved?

Yeah, I read that today, alright, well do any of you know of another location that I could look at, while I look more into getting this approved?
fightertown. It is big enough for the game that you are looking for, with multiple fields and differing areas, giving for a better game
I use to airsoft, then I took a BB to the knee.

It doesn't give that same feel though... It's not supposed to be Hardcore Contact all the time, There are many factions and having them all too close together would cause confusion.

This game type needs a rather large sized AO, that has SOME walking distance inbetween the "Start" zones for the factions. Aswell as needing to have the key objective locations.

SASCO is always a good option I hear, But Sadly I probably wouldn't attend due to the distance.

Agreed.

On a side note, if we are playing out of Phoenix, I will be arranging a car pool meet-up, so that we can save on gas, and so distance wont be an issue.

Four Peaks AO, Bloody Basin, Copper Basin.  Some ideas of good large AOs that is ok.  Props are of your own doing, instead of charging people, maybe ask for help with making props or something.  And the use of pyrotechnics at that AO is NOT a good idea at all... hell pyrotechnics anywhere in the desert is not a good idea...

Please reconsider your AO location.  60 people at Hatfield is just too much....

fightertown wouldn't be that bad of an idea. you could talk to henry and have him open all the fields to make one huge one and bam you have your props. but then again killerdragon is right that there needs to be a sizable distance between each faction to make it"feel right". but then again it would be pretty big all together lol.

one more thing what spot would you guys think is the most fun? im having a hard time deciding lol!
