My new hotness!
« on: December 04, 2005, 09:07:37 PM »
So after much talking about buying a Glock 19, I finally bit the bullet and got one at the SAR show from Bear Arms. I did not have any money left after getting my Vltor and Tangodown fix so I went home and made myself an in the waistband holster. Still unfired as of right now. Next step: Night sights and more mags! enjoy!

sorry for the blurry pic.

Now is crashbandicoot still holding CCW classes?, I need to get me one of those ASAP!

what once was black is now tan!

Glock's are such great guns. I love my G17C 9mm. Its great for target practice, and unloading rounds as fast as possible. I plan on getting a 45 in the future. Just not sure on what model I want. Enjoy it Dave, and have some fun. Also was it used, and did you get a good deal?

Seeing as how I work from home, yes I am going to carry it to work. But I have to wait till I have my CCW permit to cary it anywhere else. After that it will never leave my side unless it is nessisary.

Yes.  Ganef makes all kinds of great kit.

Very Nice, David!  That seems like the ideal size for CC.  Nice sweater, too! 8)

here is pic of the holster I just made, the edgetape hung the glock when drawing so I eliminated the upper tape and then made the nose a point to eliminate the print.

How easy is it to put back in after you draw? I'm assuming this one doesn't have kydex meaing it would collapse after the draw.. It also looks like it's layered with another layer of cordura, Right?
I like it!

The holster closes a bit when I draw but not completly, it is made from 3 layers of 1000D cordura. It is not to hard to put it back in after drawing. A quick draw is more important than a quick holster, right? I am by no way saying that this is the best thing out there, I have never owned a kydex or leather holster seeing as how I got the gun on saturday. I have heard that cloth holsters are not the way to go, but I just thought it would be good practice to design one and try it out untill I can get something better.

Great looking holster. Just be sure that there's no way for anything to get into the trigger guard while reholstering.

Good choice on the GLOCK. Once you've gone to the dark side, there's no going back  . I've got the 23, and it was either that or the 19.

There's a cheap mod you can do called the 25 Cent Trigger Job, basically it involves polishing the internal trigger parts for a smoother pull. I've yet to do it, but I've shot someone elses who has, and it does make a difference. (there's only 33 parts, so it's dead simple to take down)

Well after a long night of huffing fumes my new hotness and Vince's new hotness both have an even more newer and hotter hotness.

We put together on some custom mix Duracoat thanks to Pete at RMP gunworks www.rmpgunworks.com and we spent the evening using my airbrush to coat both our guns and bake them in the oven. We then got a report that some Zombies were making there move on my house so we breached my exterior door and exited.

Only to find out that they had possibly come in another entrance and so we re-entered and cleared the house just in case. It was a good thing we both painted our guns!

enjoy!
