A new painted gat!
« on: January 13, 2006, 04:52:33 PM »
Here is nate's gat in a fresh coat of multicam. I hand mixed the correct colors form a bunch of duracoat I purchased from www.rmpgunworks.com and then with the help of some 3" wide masking tape, a lot of patience and my airbrush, the MC gat is done.

As to the specs it is a lower from ammeetec arms in gilbert, a RRA upper with a CAS-VEL rail system from Vltor and the minor parts are a magpull stock, ergo grips and a magull enhanced trigger guard.

enjoy!

p.s. do not PM me asking for a paint job such as this unless you got at least $200 to throw down, it took all day, a day I could have been making money.

The safety is not on...

EDIT: oh yeah. Good Paint job man. It looks like you got it really close to multicam BDU's. I'm surprised Vince hasn't gotten his gun done by you yet...

Good work David!

On Ar-15s and other variants the safety cannot be engaged if the hammer has fallen(when the trigger has been pulled). Therefore, he doesn't have to have the safety on if the weapon hasn't been charged(charging handle pulled back, and ready to be fired, round in the chamber or no).

Looks good, David.

Everyone has to start somewhere... unfortunately my job right now is school, and if I quit that I can't be as big a playa as you are hector.

Thanks for backing me up Ian, I am not going to run around the back yard with a charged rifle just so I can have it on safe, it aint no airsoft gun afterall.

Nate has free range to post his gat on any forumn he feels worthy of its preasence.

Oh and I painted my sordins while I was at it, and some metal parts for Paul's AEG though not as fancy, but still legit he should have some pics up soon.

Ooops, wasn't aware of your collegiate status!  Although I  must stress you need to capitolize on your talents.  Even if it is part time while the emphasis is on your studies!

Then you'll be "Medium Pimpin" in no time son!

There's no dark brown like in the MC pattern, but all the other colors, and execution of the pattern intricacies looks great, David.

But, MC Sordins?

you are absolutely right, the dark brown spots are too hard to see becuase the brown that I intended for those spots was too light for the pattern, I had to darken it but it still was not as brilliantly dark as it should have been. Unlike the one that LMT had done i hit the whole thing with some tan to tone down the bright colors. i need to get the correct brown if I am to do this kind of thing again, and I can add the proper spots to nates gat at any time.

I thought even the Airforce knew how to work real guns. Wow. I'm amazed.

The gun is friggin amazing. Obviously the brown is a bit off, but it obviously took some massive skill to paint.

Thanks alot!

But there's no CT Logo  :(
