That's cool - I know the Blackhawk retail thing is basically advertising for them and getting a cut of the profits (no merchandise actually goes through your hands - it's direct from BHI to the customer) but can you control your pricing there?  The prices from the link your site are rather high compared to a lot of other retailers.

Now, are you guys going to open up a retail storefront (that's what the post sounds like)?  If so, cool.

Where are you looking to secure a location for CQB?  Is it within the city limits, or is it a remote location?

What 'youth organizations' are you gaining 'support' with?

Are you planning on selling Airsoft guns?  It sounds like it from the way you wrote the above post.

My whole concern is centered around the "Jack Frost" issue...Mark, did you have him cloned?  Are there two of them running around?

Sorry, all this was in regards to Mark posting 'Jack Frost' on the list twice (unless it is not a mistake and there are clones among us...).  I can't wait to get back and meet all the new people.

Ok, Jack was a typo... :)

Yes we are planning to open a store
Yes the CQB course will be in Phoenix
Yes we are selling airsoft guns
Yes the Blackhawk online store is standard and we will be stocking gear when we open a store. However, as a dealer, I can offer prices up to 20% off of the SRP.

I will be adding more items to the inventory over the next day or so.

I have completed a web design contract and I am focusing 100% of my time to this.

So are you planning on selling guns to minors and running games with them as well?  Just curious, since AA was trying to move away from that direction and it seems like your going back they way we came?

Harley has a good point, but if you think about it for a sec. there would be a lot of revenue coming from the 15-17 year old airsofters too.  So you really gotta decide if it's worth it, and whether to have waivers and such for them. (just my thought)

Actually, I think Harley was questioning why Mark would sell and cater to minors (if that's what Mark's doing) since it's moving away from the direction AA went - as in - it's a bad thing.
Remember, first off, it's ILLEGAL to sell airsoft to a minor - anyone under 18 - REGARDLESS of a waiver.
Second, a minor is a minor, and according to the gov't is NOT responsible for his or her actions and/or the result of his or her actions, again, regardless of a waiver.
Therin lies the rationale for AA disallowing those under 18 (minors) to participate in AA games.  Waivers hold no water for minors.
Participation in AA airsoft events and purchasing airsoft guns has NOTHING to do with maturity - it's simply a question of LAW regarding minors.

We had a great time, everyone was extremely professional. I can't wait until the November game. We really hope our courses will help develop the desire for stronger team organization.

USAirsoft - Annoucement
« Reply #13 on: September 30, 2002, 02:17:37 PM »
We are happy to announce that we have a business account with Blackhawk industries. With this USAirsoft has launched an online airsoft store. We are constantly adding new products and we have already received our first orders.

We have also received a large number of sponsorships to produce a theatrical airsoft training event for next year. The cadre is composed of the following:

Hector Romero (Raven)
Mark Anderson (Stonewolf)
Mike Matheny (Airsofter1)
Scott Smithers (Turd)
Jeff Ward (Pointman)
Jack Frost (Mad Jack)
Francis Yatco (Dirtbag)

We will release more info as it become relevant. We are asking for your support to help us produce this event.

USAirsoft is also in the process of acquiring buildings in the valley in which we will be able the hold games. Our staff is working on arrangements to develop an establishment with a CQB course and a store. We feel a responsibility to the community to offer a cheap and easy location to play airsoft if we are going to sell the product. We believe this will protect the reputation of airsoft. And we are working on gaining support with several youth organizations in the valley. We certainly don't want to sell airsoft gun to people and not offer a location to play.

All USAirsoft members will get a 10% discount off of Blackhawk equipment. And we will deliver all orders to the events to save shipping.

Thanks for the support!
