Awesome deal for this stuff. I have this amp and it's great. A ton of built in effects. I just bought an Epiphone SG, otherwise I'd entertain this. So here's a little bump/review for you.

Awesome thanks man. I'm still going to swing by Gearbox or somewhere before I decide to buy something online in case I get the wrong part.

That was my plan. A bigger screw. I might see if the hop up chamber is shared with any other CYMA models.

Lower receiver slides strait back out of the upper. The upper is metal. Real easy to field strip.  :P

Lots of nice cars on here haha
Any of you stop by the Pavillions car show?

Here's my ride. 94 Taurus SHO. 5-speed. 220hp stock. 7300rpm redline. Ive got exhaust/intake/suspension werk. Need to install the chip still.... Quick enough to embarrass a ricer once and a while.

AEG's / Replacement hop up chamber for CYMA mp5??
« on: November 10, 2011, 01:35:10 PM »
My second thread here... I'm trying to get all my gear together as I'm getting back into this sport..... I have a CYMA 041 mp5. The hopup adjustment is really lose. Cheap plastic. Stripped screw... You know... Typical chinese junk....

So. Does anyone know if they make aluminum hopup chambers for the CM 041? Or replacement hopup chambers at all? It's like there is no info out there for the CYMA 041. I can't even find out what kind of gearbox it has.

I've searched around and can't find anything specific. I don't know if its hopup chamber is shared with other CYMA models. Before I McGyver something up on my hopup I thought I'd ask....

Also, size is not an issue. I have my battery zip-tied to my side-folding stock and wrapped in black canvas.

Heh that's what I'm hoping for. And for budget I guess I'd like to stay around $40 or under, but I'd be willing to spend $50.

Hey ya'll. I'm not new to forums, but I'm new to this forum. And with my first post I'll be proposing to you all a question. I have tried the search bar, but I can't really narrow my search down enough.... (in before "use the search bar")

So..... Like the title says. I'm finally getting rid of the 8.4v that came with my CYMA 041 mp-5. Then gun shoots hot at a consistent 385, but the ROF has been getting progressively worse.

I'm planning on buying a 9.6v Ni-MH battery, but I'm not sure on brand or MaH. I was looking at a 3300Mah G&P and a 3000Mah Firefox, both the same price, so should I go with the higher Mah?

I'm also open to the thought of a Li-po, but I already have a smart charger. So if you would recommend a Li-po, convince me it's better.

Thank you all!  8)

Sup all.
The name's Colin.
I'm 19 and I go to U of A, so I'm living in Tucson. My parents live in Fountain Hills (east valley), so I'm down there quite a bit.
Been airsofting off and on for probably 5 years. I'm trying to get back into it seriously now. I have some buds in Fountain Hills and we have somewhat of a ragtag team, and three of us are at UA.

So about me: I'm a huge gun nut. Gearhead. Musician.

My gear:
CM041 mp-5... some custom stuff done
KJW 1911 hi-cappa 5.1

So wazzup all! I'm probably going to czech out Toxic down here in Tucson sometime this year once I get my mp5 up and running.
