Yes, the BattleLab Sensitive Site Exploitation Bag http://www.store.yahoo.com/diamondback/ ... itexb.html is a copy of the Maxpedition Medium RollyPoly http://www.maxpedition.com/product/prod ... lypoly.htm, which is a copy of the Recce Gear Dump Pouch designed the guy over at Military Morons.  BUT, that is a version inspired by the Duty Evidence Pouch made by Eagle Industries http://www.eagleindustries.com/images/p ... AGNIFY.jpg which was copied by Blackhawk (of course) http://www.blackhawkindustries.com/uplo ... CPC1BK.jpg .

That slight twist (as you put it) in a pretty innovating thing IMO.  It made the basic idea much more versatile to me - I bought one after all!

Have you ever held any BattleLab M4 pouches yet?  If you did you probably change your mind about their "stolen" designs.  It would be more than their fastening system you would think is better.

It is a "licensed" copy, though, as far as I know.

Of course he has!  You think busta_cap would form an opinion about gear without previous, rigorous, field testing?

But it was first made by Recce Gear.  You see, little buss, not all gear designs are made original.

The Paraclete RAV seems pretty innovative.  Eagle, DBT, and other smaller companies like Patriot Precision (which used to be TAS, you'll understand later) have based their releaseable designs on it.  Paraclete designed it?  Well, it was based upon the AWS releaseable vest (now called the CQB vest).  Everything down to the quad pistol mag pouch by Paraclete is almost a sure match to the AWS design.  Is Paraclete ripping them off?  I hardly think so.

Here's the interesting thing that I don't really understand.  TAS (which is now Patriot Precision) used to make interchangeable, replacement back panels for the AWS vest.  TAS changed into Patriot Precision, and now has  their version of the releaseable vest called the DAV (Direct Action Vest), which is similar to the Eagle RAV design in certain places, which is a similar vest to the Paraclete RAV, which an improvement upon the AWS vest (for which they used to make back panels).  See how it comes full circle?

No one's ripping each other off here, except the Asian airsoft companies.  Funny, I didn't hear you complaining when you bought your AAV replica made by G&P Laser Products.  Point Blank didn't lose you as a customer when you bought a knockoff vest, they'll do just fine!

Yes, the Maxpedition Rollypolly was licensed by Military Moron himself.

There are only so many ways one can make an upright utility pouch or an MLCS-style mag pouch.  Shit, you guys whine about companies ripping off designs yes go out and buy Guarder Interceptors or JTech DACH rigs.  First one I see wearing a knock off MESA vest is gonna get his ass stomped by my wife. :)

Blackhawk outdid themselves this year when they copied the SpecOps Brand Packrat/BDU Organizer, stitch for stitch, and a thing called the RIT Litter, which was designed by a Glendale Fire captain, made by Diamondback, then ripped off by Blackhawk.  I mean, even their marketing blurb is ripped off.  I've spoken to that fire captain and he didn't give BPG the OK.

Those two items were the straw regarding Blackhawk for me.  I am working hard to replace their entire STRIKE line of gear with US-made items from Specter Gear, Esstac and Tactical Assault Gear (which is upfront about copying gear, but at least it's US-Made).
