Accessories & Gear / AUG battery
« on: December 15, 2005, 02:57:03 PM »
what size battery would fit inside of an AUG?

I was thinking of buying 2 GP 8.4v 1100mAh NiMh Stick batteries, but I am not sure if they will fit in the aug.

Accessories & Gear / AK Rail
« on: December 05, 2005, 10:51:13 PM »
Couldn't find anything via search engine.

Trying to find a nice rail (preferrably tri-rail) under 50$.  Most I have found are in the 50-60$ range such as the hurricane etc.

-Thanks

Gas Powered Guns / MAUSER M712
« on: December 05, 2005, 05:54:48 PM »
I have heard really good things about this gun.

With a full metal/wood construction, and generally high FPS for a tad over 100$ it seems like an insane deal.

At the momment this might be my new side arm.

Any thoughts?

Accessories & Gear / Tactical Vest
« on: November 27, 2005, 02:27:41 PM »
After addressing the search feature(I am not sure if I used it correctly) I discovered there was no post regarding tactical vests.

ATM I have a LBV, but I sold my M16 and bought a AKS-74U.  My AK mags no longer fit in my LBV, so I am on the look out for a new vest.  In the future I plan on buying a pistol, so I thought pistol mag pouches would be nice.  I am a fan of Hydration Packs, and of course I need pouches that fit AK mags.  Upon searching EBAY I found this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/CQB-U-S-Navy-Seal-L ... dZViewItem

It has 4 Pistol, and 4 Regular pouches, comes in specified sizes, it has a hydration pack, velcro points for patches etc.

For around 50$ this seems like an excellent deal.

What do you guys think?

Do you have any suggestions for a tact vest in my situation?

-Thanks

Accessories & Gear / AK-74 Star Mags
« on: November 10, 2005, 01:08:05 PM »
I had recently read a review on this forum that the 600rd Ak-74 Star mag is a decent mag exceptional quality mag.

I have also heard that the 70rd standar Ak-74 mags are great quality.  But as with all low-caps, if you top em off the spring's power is reduced over time(correct me if I am wrong).

I currently own a Spets, and I want to stick with asthetic authenticity(meaning I want to use ak-74 mags over 47).  As for sporting 30rd mags for the real-life aspect, I have heard nothing but trouble.

So I am asking you all should I get the 70rd, or 600rd.  In financial terms, getting the 600rd is a helluva lot cheaper, and like 2 of those bad larry's would last a couple games.  If I got the standards they are more expensive, and I need more mag pouches and all that.

So in terms of quality(ignoring the real-life like trait of using standards), and from personal experience, which would you guys suggest I get?  And if possible point me in the direction were I can find the cheapest ones.  Right now I know AEX sells the 600rds for 30$ a pop.  I haven't found any low prices on standards however.

-Thanks!

Accessories & Gear / Few Q's about Flashlights
« on: November 07, 2005, 07:48:25 PM »
I am looking to buy a decent flashlight that will last a while for around 30$ with a touch activator.

I was looking at http://cgi.ebay.com/SWAT-FORCE-METAL-COMBAT-FLASHLIGHT-W-REMOTE-AIRSOFT-WOW_W0QQitemZ7194641794QQcategoryZ71083QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Seems like a great deal, and apparently is better than Surefire.

Any suggestions?

I was also wondering if I could effectively put a grip and a flash light on the grip rail on a Spetsnaz.  It looks like there is enough room, but I don't know if my hand would fit comfortably or if I would have to make some kind of akward adjustment.

-Thanks

Accessories & Gear / Need help with battery.
« on: October 31, 2005, 04:20:11 PM »
Need help with a quick question here.

Origionally I was going to buy a G & P 9.6v 3300mAh Ni-MH battery for my ak, but it would not fit, so I got the Sayno 8.4v 3000mAh Ni-MH.

I am using a m120 spring with oiless metal bushings and a stock motor in it.

Will using the 8.4v battery reduce my rate of fire because the 8.4v has a lower discharge rate and it has to pull back a stronger spring?

What would be the difference if I used a 9.6v?

Hello fellow Arizona Airsofters!

My name is Aaron, and I am part of a fairly old airsoft team based in Awatukee(west of chandler).  We are called the Tusken Raiders, and we currently have 5 people including me. (we recently just added a 5th)

We all go to ASU, and we hope to get into airsoft more seriously, and hopefully we can participate in operations etc.

Our team's arsenal consists of,

Me: Currently switching from M16VN to a AKS-74U
Jon: VSR-10, M700, AK-47
Paul: P-90 TR, Samurai Edge Bio-Hazard Gas Pistol
Nick: M733 Commando
Mark: MP5

We have been playing airsoft for nearly 5 years, and currently we play weekly games with a newer team of about 9 people.  They are called the backyard airsofters(Starting their freshman year in HS).

I am currently working on our website, and it should be up and ready in the near future.

Anyways I hope we can participate with you guys sometime in the future!

-Thanks.
