General Off-Topic Discussion / Jade Helm 15
« on: April 14, 2015, 11:17:34 AM »
Seeing as how we have a President that is doing nothing short of being a criminal and a congress that has no balls, and now we have Jade Helm 15.

Well from the lack of responses I can tell why AZ is a hostile state leaning "friendly" Really don't care about your thoughts or responses just trying to get this info out.  Maybe it's time to put down the plastic and pick up some real steel.

Ask businesses why they are leaving California and setting up shop elsewhere.

I guarantee one of those answers will be "business laws."  Airsoft companies should follow suit and leave.

I lived in California for 15 years.  The weather is nice and it's pretty and green for the most part.  But that's about it.  Housing is overpriced.  Hollywood and Los Angeles are overhyped.  The state is going bankrupt.  Overpaid education boards and unions and welfare programs are bleeding the taxpayers to death.  And somewhere along the lines, someone thought it would be a brilliant idea to push more laws to force more compliance to help pick up the slack.

It doesn't work that way, folks.  I'm glad I live here in Arizona now.  People in this state seem to be a little more down to earth with a head on their shoulders than those living in Fantasyland.  That's why I don't see this law passing here.

Good topic, glad you guys are discussing it.  We currently live in California and yea it is over taxed, over regulated, and over ran with illegal aliens.  But to call us communist living in fantasy land is a little rough.  I agree with the statement I have quoted and we are looking to move to AZ for those reasons.  From what I have herd the bill was pulled but I don't know for sure.  The reason most of the major retailers are here is because of the shipping ports and I doubt it is the weather, plus Ca is the hub for Airsoft merchandise coming into this country.  SB 798 does effect the Airsoft community as a whole because any events held here will have to comply with the law (Lion Claw for example)  It's just bullshirt, it's a knee jerk reaction from the idiots up in Sacramento giving into the cops, oh by the way the biggest gangs here in So Cal are the cops.

I have learned first hand about the business climate here in California, I am trying to open an Airsoft field but it is almost impossible due to zoning laws.  I've had city council members ask for reelection contributions or they would not help me (that's PC for a bribe) or pay for environmental impact reports (years and $$$$$) it's all bullshirt here.  So just because you guys wont be directly effected by SB798 the Airsoft community will.  I play with guys from all over this country and not a one of them want to see this bill pass regardless of what state it's in.

I know I'm new here and I expect to get bashed, this happens on forums all around the world, no big deal.  My point is how did these "defective" goggles get on the market in the first place? and how many more are out there without this disclaimer? the manufacture should of destroyed them when they found this defect in the first place, but no they sold them to distributions at a discounted price.  I guess my eyes are priceless to me and spending 60.00 for superior eye wear is worth it.

I would say no to this type of eye protection, there own site says they don't meet military standards:  http://www.goggleoverstock.com/index.html  Revision is the way to go IMHO: http://www.revisioneyewear.com/story.html
I've been using Revision for years and I'm very satisfied.  No interference with your optics or iron sites because they are built to Military standards.  Here is a good review:  http://www.youtube.com/user/crazyNCman# ... XGecRr2eDQ
I hope this info can help make up your mind.

AEG's / Re: Questions about upgrading my TM AK-47
« on: April 02, 2011, 07:10:21 PM »
TM's are great guns if you leave them stock.  I haven't read anything on a TBB: http://www.airsoftgi.com/index.php?cPath=31_334   This could raise your FPS to around 300fps, might make the difference you need plus a TBB is a part you need.  Other wise like the other guys stated running a heavier spring means you will have to upgrade other parts. (spring guide, bushings) Here is a spring I have had really good consistent FPS with:  http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.p ... ts_id=2456   and it should meet your required fps limit.

You can try this link and learn to do tech work yourself, AR platforms are the easiest to work on:
http://www.mechbox.com/site/

Or as your fellow members suggested bring it to ADP sense they are highly recommended.  But if cost is an issue and you don't feel comfortable cracking open a gearbox you can do it the poormans way (not recommended).  Leave the piston compressed by 2/3 for a couple weeks, again NOT recommended.  $30.00 for a full days play seems a little steep and an FPS of 330 now days on a stock Chinese AEG is very hard to find and TM's prices are way out of line.  All the fields out here (CA) are 350fps or higher for CQB, and MOUT fields are between 380fps and 400fps, heavy gear is a must

I do all of my own work so repair shops are not needed, but Evike for a spring change charges about $30.00, that's a spring plus labor.  Evike and ASGi are only a few miles from my house.

Here is a link to the P38 Lightning: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lockheed_P-38_Lightning

I built aircraft for years, post your pics.  I was also stationed on the USS Kitty Hawk CV-63 (shitty kitty) as an hole snip for four years, I love aircraft.  I think the F-4 Phantom was the loudest aircraft I've ever herd.

The one thing these idiots don't understand is if wasn't for all of us that served and died for country they wouldn't have the freedom of speech to act like this.  It's not right now and never will be for our fallen comrades.  my 2ยข

Sign in a store front window in Alderson , West Virginia :

'WE WOULD RATHER
DO BUSINESS WITH
1000 ALQAEDA TERRORISTS
THAN WITH ONE SINGLE AMERICAN SOLDIER!'

This sign was prominently displayed in the window of a business in Alderson , West Virginia . You are probably outraged at the thought of such an inflammatory statement.

However, we are a society which holds Freedom of Speech as perhaps our greatest liberty.
And after all, it is just a sign.

You may ask what kind of business would dare post such a sign.

I guess what I mean by "mild" is the temps, 85'ish in the summer, not 115'.  Slow going would be a nice change from all the pushy people here in Cali. always in a hurry to get nowhere. Thanks for the input guys.  I think it's time for a road trip.

General Off-Topic Discussion / Moving to AZ
« on: February 25, 2011, 09:35:26 PM »
Hey guys me, the wife, and my daughter are planing on moving to AZ by next spring and we were looking at Prescott Valley area.  Seems the temps are mild but my question is what is the population like, the people?
I guess I could contact Prescott PD and get the crime index but asking people that live in the state i think would allow me to get an honest opinion.
I live here in San Dimas Ca. which is very nice but just five miles away is a cesspool of gang bangers so I am realistic in the fact you just can't get rid of these idiots and have to live close to them at some point. ( My solution is gather them up and toss them out the back of a C17 at 37k feet)

Any input would be very helpful and appreciated

Thanks Tommy
