Uncommon Customer Service
« Reply #2 on: July 27, 2003, 11:16:23 PM »
With all of the poor customer service out there, I thought it would be nice to post this.  I was recently looking for a sling for my Savage .300 ultra mag.  I wanted something a little more advanced, similar to a tactical sling.  After looking on Ebay, I came across a post for slings made by Mark at www.madsterz.com.  These slings rock!  They enable you to carry your gun in a comfortable position, almost hands free. Great for reading a map or taking a quick smoke [;)].  Also, you can pop it up to your shoulder almost instantly for a quick snap shot.
I emailed him and asked if he had any slings made of a cammo pattern.  He wrote back the same day and said that even though he didn't have any in stock, he would look for some.  Well, he found it.  I purchased a sling for around 25.00.  When it came in a couple  of days, I was REALLY impressed by the quality and workmanship of the whole unit.  I mounted it and noticed that my gun wouldn't lay flat across my chest, but twisted.  My savage is longer than most (genetics?[:P]) and is relatively heavy.  I emailed him back and forth and sent him pictures.  He then sent me a free strap for the front of the gun, as seen on the website for his Mini-30.  That solved all of the twisting problems, but do to the short velcro attachment on the front strap, did not allow me to attach my Harris bipod.  After telling him this, he made me a custom, longer strap for the front, no charge.  This whole set up works perfectly and he even sent me a coupon for 5.00 off.
Through out the whole time Mark was courteous and professional.  He really went out of his way to make my sling work.  I just wanted to pass it on to those looking for a cool sling for their rifles, airsoft or real steel.
