HWG hosts Black Hawk Down at Fighter Town Oct 7

Havoc War Games is hosting a one day military simulation adventure game based upon the Battle of Mogadishu in Somalia. BHD: Battle of Mogadishu is being held at Fighter Town Paintball and Airsoft Park on Oct 7 from 8 am - 4 pm. The game will feature multiple missions, military vehicles and smoke grenades.

Participants can serve on one of two different groups based upon age:
Task Force Ranger Alpha (Ages 16+)
Task Force Ranger Bravo (Ages 12-15)

Task Force Ranger Alpha Requirements (24 spaces)
Uniform Color: 3 color DCU, 6 color DCU, multicam
Boots
Sealed Eye Protection
Tactical Vest or plate carrier
M4/M16 variant (M249 and M60 allowed)
AEG<375 FPS
Non Winding Magazines

Task Force Ranger Bravo Requirements (24 spaces)

About BHD: Battle of Mogadishu
Date: Oct. 7, 2012
Time: 8 am - 4 pm
TFR Alpha and TFR Bravo will complete four missions against OPFOR volunteers playing as Somali militia fighters.  Alpha and Bravo will complete their missions separate from the other age group. Each mission will last between 20 - 30 minutes. Each group will have at least 30 minutes to plan and rest in between each mission.

The Somalis won the REAL battle of Mogadishu, y'know. But hey, this is for fun.
Seriously though, do the OPFOR have the deck stacked against them like past BHD's?

Q: Do the OPFOR have a chance to win the game?
A: No one will win the game.  There will be four missions completed by TFR Alpha and Bravo.
Mission 1: The Rangers will secure the target building and capture two HVI.
Mission 2: The Rangers will secure the first crash site against militia attack.
Mission 3: The convoy will attempt to navigate the city while under attack to reach the crash site.
Mission 4: The Rangers will move on foot from the second crash site to safety.

Q: How can I sign up for a space on the OPFOR?
A: OPFOR spaces will be assigned to players selected by HWG staff in Aug and Sept.

Q: Why should I sign up for OPFOR?
A: OPFOR volunteers receive a free admission to the event, raffle ticket, and free admission to the HWG event at The Sandbox on Oct. 27.

Q: Can parents play on the same Task Force as minors?
A: Parents/legal guardians may play on TFR Bravo with their kids?

what if the mission cannot be complete? doesn't that mean the OPFOR win?

Every game and event I've ever been to with HWG/Mauraders the OPFOR never "won", or at least USFOR never lost...things were scripted out or had rules in place to ensure one of those two scenarios always happened according to the predetermined outcome.

Edit: Nothing wrong with this, per say, just not my preference.

Information on OPFOR volunteers has been updated in the General Airsoft Discussion session.

BHD volunteers will be selected from those who volunteer for either the VIP summer camp missions or the AZ National Guard Security Forces training day at VIP.

I have everything but the DCUs...I have an AOR1 combat shirt and pants. Could you include that as well? Considering multicam wasn't even invented back then, I think AOR1 should be allowed as well. Plus, 60 dollars is a little steep...

Check you history chip. Yeah we lost 18 American soldiers with 80 wounded but they accomplished the mission. By securing the two lieutenant's of the warlord who was killing U.N soldiers.  But 500 skinnies were killed and over 1000 wounded.
