Do a search for Harley's charge time formula.  With a quick charger, its about 30 minutes.  With a regular one, you will need toe formula.

Also do a search for upgrades, but a ballpark figure, assuming you make it the best possible, and don't hold back would be ~$225.  You are looking at everything in the mechbox except the box itself, the tappet plate, and the selector plate.  Of course, these can always be upgraded as well.  I just bought a full box upgrade, except the items mentioned above, and it was around 220-250 (Nick hasn't goten back with exact figures).

www.uncompany.com  and www.airsoftextreme.com have some SWEET custom jobs!  More realistic in the way that they are replicas of current M4 configurations found all over in the military.
The guns on that link you provided don't really do much for me.  Especially the MP5 with the suppressor-mounted foregrip!  I DO like the older style straight 9mm mags for the MP5s, but thats all.  The weapons on that page are the result of ALOT of spare time/money and a fetish with HK.

I just asked the same question for my M4.  Heres what you will need to increase accuracy, durability, and get as close to 400 as possible:
PISTON SET (I chose a silent due to the fact they aren't as rough on the mechbox.  they have a softer head and don't cause as much trauma on impact)
CYLINDER SET, teflon (get one with no ports.  this will slow your rof, but boost fps.  this will increase fps more than anything, except the spring)
SPRING (m120 or PDI, I chose m120 to keep it UNDER 400)
SPRING GUIDE (bearing)
Solid METAL BUSHINGS (not bearing bushings)
Torque-Up GEAR SET
Tightbore BARREL, 6.03mm

I got all this stuff from MONGOOSE ORDERS for around 225 (keep in mind I also bought an AN/PEQ2 box).  Its best to save up until you can afford all of it, rather than to buy a few at a time, and put them in as you get them.  The less you can open your box, the better.

Harley can help you more than me, as he is the source of my info.  This is just what you need to buy.

Oh yeah, you will need a bigger, higher voltage battery to power this beast.  At least 9.6v, mAh depends on how heavy on the trigger you are.

Hope this helps:)

Matt, you have come to the right place.  Alot of our members have past Military experience, and a few are still serving, some even plan on serving in the future.  I think you will find that we are almost all like-minded, at least in most areas.  Its a great group!  I have been hanging around with them for a few months now, and its a great group of people!  As far as teams go, there are not many "free" people that are available to start a team.  Most are either already affiliated, or are not interested.  They do exist, however, so keep an eye out.  Also keep an eye on these here forums and you can get a pretty good taste of our personalities most of the time.  I think you will find that we are very enthusiastic about airsoft, and try to have alot of fun with it.  We are also very safety-conscious.  There are AA games once a month, and non-AA games almost every week.  There is no shortage of games around here!  Come on out to one, and introduce yourself, we'd love to meet you.

Welcome aboard!

www.airsoftplayers.com has gearbox tutorials.  Or you could try to figure it out, which is more fun!

Very Modular, Very lightweight, Very durable, Very easy to shoulder on.  Can be a tad bit floppy unless you either
a)  wear it over body armor
b)  Tighten it up properly
The mesh used is quite stiff, but will break in after short use, revealing its primary drawback.
Why am I bothering, I'm sure MM has a review
[checks MM site]
yes they have a review, read it instead of mine, I'm just a gear weena.

I must second what they say about the mag pouches.  They suck!  Limp as hell, and too tight for fast changes.  The closure system is odd as well.  The same pouches can be found on the GI LBV (which are the LBVs main drawback).

Bottom line:  GET IT!  ITS A SMOKIN DEAL, AND ITS OVERALL A DECENT PIECE OF KIT!

KEVIN, THANKS AGAIN!

the highest voltage possible is best.  You will get more out of the gun, as long as the mechbox can handle it.  600mAh 9.6v minis are availble, and are great batteries.  That would fit for sure, but I'm guessing it can hold a larger (higher mAh) battery.  The pic link is dead, so I cannot see for myself, perhaps you should try to post another pic.  Good luck!

it is a wonderful sight!  Keep in mind the reflex gathers light from the target lights source.  If you are aiming at something in daylight, it will be brighter than aiming at something in darker conditions.  It sort of automatically adjusts.  The upside is thatyou dont ever need batteries, and you dont ever have to fiddle with adjusting the brightness.  The downside is that it may not be bright enough for your tastes, and there is nothing you can do about it.
Out of curiousity, what color is the reticle?  What shape?  I know you can get green, amber, and red, and various reticle patterns, such as chevron, diamond, dot, etc...  I have experience with the amber chevron, and the red diamond.  I prefer the red because it differs from any color found throught the sight.  Amber is sometimes hard to find if you are outdoors, and have broken your cheek-weld.  The Trijicon reflex is an excellent sight, and is durable as hell.  The aimpoint (assumiong you mean the real deal, not Guarder, or TGS, etc.) is simply the finest availble.  Ask John, and Kyle, they both have them.  As one SF guy said about the Comp ML, "you can beat the piss out of them!"  The 11 brightness settings on the AP offers a wide range, and not only offers brightness levels to match all lighting conditions, but also lets you fine tune it to match your preferences.  With the Reflex, literally you get what you see!  Buy it, if you don't like it, I am certain someone will buy it here, I sure as hell will if its under 100 bux!

mikey added a 9.6v mini in his M4 with little modification to the PAQ-4C.  I believe PACO added one to his G36C!!  add on cell to a 8.4v mini, and you're all set.  Hope it helps.

Sounds cool, but you are right on as far as the drive goes.  No way I would drive 4 hours (??) to play for a few, then pack up, tired, and leave.  But the land definitely sounds exellent!  We could get some large-scale action there!  Insert here, hump it 1/2 mile to there, ambush convoy, 1 mile more that way, and assault that house to rescue so and so.  That would be cool!  Multiple objectives is the way to go!  Its better than playing one objective, then going back to base camp for another briefing.  We could totally split up into teams, and stay that way the whole time.  We could have vehicles pick up wounded or dead at pre-planned points to haul them to reinsertion point (if the terrain permits it).  I am getting way too excited here, so I am done for now.
