Has anyone used the KWC CO2 mini Uzi?
« on: August 29, 2005, 10:46:58 PM »
Just wondering if anyone has any hands on experience.  Couldn't find any reviews of it.  I am considering it as my main weapon for CQB.  Also if by any slim chance this is a repeat post, its not my fault, I did run a search to no avail.

Don't even bother. Those types of guns seem neat at first...but we don't do a whole lot of CQB. It would be a novelty that you would sell down the road at a huge loss. Do yourself a favor and buy a nice M16/M4 and keep it stock until you know what's up/what you like.

KWC is trash anyway.

Yeah but if it shoots at 450 fps like they claim, it should have sufficient range for my uses.  To be quite honest, I don't really want an electric gun.  I like the idea of some recoil, and report.  Adds to the realism for me.  PLus I like UZI's.  I would still like to get some more info though from someone who has actually used one. Thanks.

If it shoots at 450 FPS like they claim, you won't be able to use it in any games.

Trust me dude, it sucks, don't waste your money.

Well, it's not total crap, it's build quality isn't too bad.  The Velocity may be stated 450fps, but they're really 375ish, still way too hot for CQB.  The gun is built pretty well and is solid, but it's an uzi, and made by KWC.  With my experiance with KWC, it'll work well the first day you have it, then break the next day. (I had the KWC Desert eagle full auto POS... sold it a week after I got it for $130).

I agree with Vince, I am purchasing An M16 or M4 For my primary weapon after long discussions with Ron from JT in Phoenix, I was intrested in the MP5 but I am old school and amd Drawn to the M16, esp the A1 which I was trained on when I was in the Army. Its Longer Barrel would allow it to be used as a makeshift Sniper Rifle with a decent scope. Just My 2 Cents worth

Dust2dust, I take it that you have actually fired and used one?  I know that FPS will make it too hot for CQB, but could it be used for open field games?  Also is there anyway to adjust the velocity?  Thanks.

I have the Co2 uzi and aboslutely love it. It has very nice recoil and power. Hav'nt had it chrono'ed yet but it will punch a hole anywhere in a coke can.
The accuracy is ok . I plan on putting a tightbore in and getting some heavier bbs since .25s travel about 100 feet then curve straight up.

I don't think it sucks at all. Well worth the money spent in my opinion.

Whats up everyone.  Just wanted to take a minute and give everyone some of my first impressions of the KWC Mini Uzi.  First off this thing is solid.  Its not all metal as they claim, but its ver well made.  The lower reciever is the only non-metal part.

The stock locks into postion very easily, and can even serve as an impromptu vertical grip when folded.  Magazines are easy to load and very solid.

I have only fired one magazine through it at this time, but let me say that this thing is powerfull on CO2.  From 15 feet it went throught both sides of the heavy card board box it was shipped in and dented the drywall 5 feet on the other side.

I did purchase the valve assembly to change it to regular green gas, and I will do some testing with that to see how it works.  According to redwolfairsoft.com this thing can get down to 393 fps on gree gas.  Which will put it in skirmishable range for here in Nebraska.

All in all my initial impression is that this is a solid well built gas smg.  I will do some more testing, and if I can get a chronograph will post some results.  Additionally I have to commend the folks at redwolfairsoft.com.  I ordered from them on a monday, and I recieved my order on thursday.  I was very impressed with the speed which the order was processed and shipped.
