If anyone has noticed, evike has been doing this since about Jan... they say the gun will be in next month, and then the next month they say the same thing... Its been that way with about 85% of their inventory...

Playing in your local park is the kind of thing that gets laws and action against the sport/hobby.

This might do a little better in the forsale/trade section of the site... What kind of gun your looking for (model, not make) might also get you farther...

Best advice, don't take this too seriously, in the end we are all just running around shooting each other with plastic bb guns.

Cant really put it better...  =D>

Well, id say airsoft qualifies as a hobby for one reason... There are paintball and curling leagues, and curling makes it to the Olympics... Paintball teams are nationally sponsored and compete. They even have a video game for this reason, just like bmx, skateboarding, and snowboarding...

There is no organized teams in any official league where a tournament actually takes place for air soft, not in this country. This would make it a hobby to me... When some one forms a league and there starts to be ranked competitions with a clearly publicized winner who gets a medal... then maybe we'll have a 100% official sport... time to get sponsored by CA everybody...

I wouldn't see any of that as progression for the hobby either, its hard enough to get people to do historical load outs/reenactments with airsoft to do history some justice, everyone just wants to look like their character from Call Of Duty or Battlefield 2... They're one giving kids bad ideas like "flat top ar's existed in nam and we killed commies with augs in 80".... Id rather people be talking to a drug dealer than getting those ideas in their head...

What style of .45 are you looking for? If you dont mind the new "tactical" look alot of the new WE KWA and Socom gear .45 models are nice, solid, and sturdy like the real .45. The latest WE/KWA even have working grip safetys below the beaver tail. My choice would be KJW or KWA, but im also interested in a govt. model. WE seems to be picky sometimes, my experience with a luger of theirs keeps me away.

Make sure you have your spacer in there too, if not youll just end up with a low pressure bb hose, kinda like the cheap ass mini aegs...

Usually a tightbore will make it harder to get your bucking and barrel into the hop up unit. The best way is to just slowly work it back, millimeter by millimeter. If it starts to mess up, back it off and work it through slowly... I also usually place the spacer in its hole, and the hop up upside down (so it wont fall out) before working the barrel in. If your really having trouble getting it in and its tearing or crumpling too much it may be time for a new hop up bucking.

Did you lose your h nub/spacer in your hop up maybe?

Perhaps the bucking is torn/improperly seated at the edge of your barrel/in the hop up too...

Is it ONLY double feeding? if so thats a we bit strange... :)

General Airsoft Discussion / Re: Airsoft Stores in Arizona
« on: August 25, 2010, 03:48:00 PM »
Well its good to hear that they seem to be doing well and better than the previous store. Its good to know theres a good tech around. I can do most of the work i need, but theres always that one time where you need help or cant figure something out. I also hate re shimming ;)

Its good to see some stories of same day service too. Up here at Fox airsoft you can expect your gun to be in for a week, more if they dont have all the parts... There also seems to be some technical discrepancies here and there over types of tech, and what you should do to your gun. I like the guys though and there some good people. I cant wait to get down there and check out gearbox though, i know they'll be getting alot of my business, i dont have time to wait on internet sites to tell me i have to wait another month :)

Airsoft is great.....No paint mess everywhere and it's very realistic

I started off in paintball too, never was a fan of fieldball which drove me to airsoft at the time. Im glad i switched, and the paint mess not being all over my gear (some of this stuff is classic nam man) is definitely a plus...

Thanks for all the comments...

And to clarify, im old in the sense that i used to be on the forums 4 to 5 years ago... Not necessarily in respect to age... But in a few years i guess i could fall into the "older category", so im not too far out... However that's a matter of opinion, as i know there's several 40-50 yr old airsoft players in existence ;)

General Airsoft Discussion / Re: OEF Camo Pattern
« on: August 25, 2010, 03:00:53 PM »
Thats not the only camo they are issuing as "OEF" camo...

From what i heard the original UCP camo isnt working (wow, what a surprise) so now many tax dollars later they are not only issuing multicam as OEF camo but they are also issuing UCP Delta. Multicam is meant for OEF AO only, and it is not meant to be worn back home or out side of Afghanistan at the moment. Im not sure whether the same applies to UCP D. UCP Delta is the same as ACU's UCP however it has the added color of coyote brown (subdued marpat almost). I like how after they wasted all that money on the ACU UCP pattern, they are now issuing multicam which originally lost to UCP.... And not only that, but they are spending more tax dollars to try and fix the UCP pattern and still make it workable...
