Truspec TRU Extreme Uniforms
« on: October 06, 2010, 02:21:30 AM »
Anyone picked up a set of these yet or fingered them?

They look a lot better than the Gen II combat shirts and now have their own set of pants.

For reference..

This is better: http://www.uscav.com/productinfo.aspx?productID=17916&TabID=548

Better sizing, material, and customer service.

They are different products, made by the same company. I guess you didn't get what I was asking. I already own two regular tru spec combat shirts and normal tru spec pants. They wear out quickly and are very basic.

I tend to stay away from anything tru spec for that reason... i paid for some of their ACU back in the day and have never bought anything since cause it faded too much in just one wash... It also tore through the knee with minimal use as well...

Those new ones look nice, i wouldnt mind getting a pair in od or tan of atleast just the pants, as i want crye's combat pants, these could be a good alternative. Like you are saying though id wanna hear about how they are and if they hold up better than previous stuff.

Tru  Spec is still leaps and bounds better than Propper. Their fabrics are terrible as far as quality and comfort, as well as layout and such.

I have not worn through either of my sets yet but they are pretty new, But I have heard people have the issues quite often and have seen pics of the holes and stuff. Gotta remember what you are getting, and for the pricetag it's really not that bad.

Personally, I think I will pick up a shirt first and see how it is. The packs look really nice but I am digging the new DA pants I have coming from EOTAC.

People tend to overlook how their stuff fits as well.. Sometimes it's better to run your pants a little tighter instead of baggy, which can cause a tear when you take a knee or bend down..

EDIT:

For reference, here are the pants I am referring to. They are not being release to the general public until Mar-Apr of 2011 but I have some stuff coming my way shortly. Will do a write up on 'em.
