SASCO mine ruins.

Hopefully that answered most of the neglected questions.

TAC rules allow parents to bring minors, under 16, if they are playing along side of them. 16 and 17 year olds must have written consent. All minors must wear paintball masks.

There is room for everyone. There are clear skys and clear roads. M4's and 1 high cap is cool.

I am headed there now. Expect 60+ with about 100 sign ups.

So a buddy of mine that is basically our groups s.a.w, runs with an rpk and lonex hicap flash mags ( he has an electric drum but prefers the flash mags due to the weight, reliability and being much easier to reload with bbs when completely empty) so is he restricted to 1 high cap, even if he has an lmg/saw?
Thanks.

Long answer in pm. Short answer, 1 hi cap only. Only a SAW representation may use an electric drum mag, but still may have only one. It makes you take the time to reload simulating a Milsim style of play, but not excluding novice players that have no mid caps.

I will be there, free stalker and all. PM me if you think the National Guard can bring anything to help your efforts.

An AVLB or a Bailey maybe? After all of the rain 😂. A case or 2 of mixed color M18's, a fired M202, a gamma goat, a couple field telephones, 2 or 3 fender stretchers, a gallon or more of line level fluid, 5 boxes of grid squares, and  butter bar with a flashlight to stand on top of the hill Friday night so that we can figure out where we are on a map.

Barring all that, an AN-PRC-E6 with the TM's and FM's to operate it.😛

Operation Red Sleigh Down

TAC in coordination with the Desert Hawks is proud to present the 11th annual Operation Red Sleigh Down on Saturday, December 12th 2015.  Operation Red Sleigh Down is a benefit game that raises awareness about children in need this holiday season.  Near the holiday season each year, we gather to play an organized airsoft event and fill a car with new unwrapped toys and then donate those toys to the USMC Toys For Tots program.  Please consider coming out, helping those in need, and having a good time with us while you are at it.

To see what the community was able to donate in previous years visit the below link:

Scenario:
The group know as the People's Occupation and Liberation Expedition (POLE) has sent a sizable group into Northern Tanistan in search of a downed supply plane.  This supply plane was carrying support and relief supplies north for all the good girls and boys when it went down over a remote desert area.  Tanistan has search parties combing the crash area and attempting to secure the area and the supplies from POLE.  POLE and Tanistan forces now fight for control of the border area in a search for the missing supplies.

Admission
This event is by admission only.  Your admission is unwrapped toys with an equal or greater value of $10.  Cash donations are discouraged, but if you forget your items a suggested cash donation of $15 will allow the staff to purchase items in your behalf when dropping the donations off.

For more information on the Toys For Tots Program please visit their website:

Radios are not required for this event, but are HIGHLY recommended due to how the objectives are spread out and the play is fluid.  Please also note this event is being planned as a MILSIM Battlefield type event with a fun twist.  This means that we expect limited return trips to cars and staging areas.  Please be prepared to carry everything on your person that you need to play and stay on your feed, including plenty of water and extra ammunition.

RSVPS
Please RSVP  by name only (No +## Ex. quadro +1) If others are coming and you are their primary form of contact with the forum please list a name for them.  For example, Kileyhaz & ChanceR is preferable to Me +1.  Thanks.

Teams:

POLE Forces (GREEN): (Includes ACU, ATACS and ABU in addition to the usual Woodland and Tiger Stripe)

Tanistan Forces (TAN): (Includes Multicam* in addition to the usual Desert patterns. *Multicam should be prepared to be shuffled/divided as needed to make numbers work evenly)

I am 15 and have a friend who is 18 that is going. Do you think I could go with him if we play on the same team?

It's a liability issue. Any minors would need to be accompanied by a parent, not just a buddy. I don't really care if you are 12 if you are playing next to your mom or dad.

10/11/15 SASCO washes

I was at SASCO today. The first wash was non existent. There is nothing to irrigate so the water is turned off. The river had some standing water from recent storms but was not flowing. The final hazard is the deep cut. Recent storms has caused some damage but is easily passable.

All in all it is completely passable in a sedan.

svataz is game staff for LC and uses the LC standard 1.55 joules for all field guns.

12
The limits I use (many other AZ teams such as 6CA use a similar version) look like this.

Energy Limits:
Pistols, 1.55j: .20g@350, .23g@325, .25g@315, .28@295. With a no MED.
Field, 1.86j: .20g@445, .23g@415, .25g@400, .28@375, .30@365. With a 30' MED.
Sniper, 3.36j: .25g@535, .28@505, .30@490, .32@475, .36@445, .40@425. With a 100' MED.
PLEASE DO NOT FIRE ON ANYONE WITHIN THE MINIMUM ENGAGEMENT DISTANCE (MED)!

13
No, its purely field management. I.E. commonly AEGs are 400 with .25; HPA systems are relegated to 350 with .20g. Because magics. Theyre still not mainstream so  I think it boils down to jealousy; there's no logical argument.
And like here, HPAs are locked into their own one category for all. You can't have a DMR or sniper HPA.

In the Tucson area, the pay field limits are 400 fps with .2's but they don't even ask what weight you are using and supply no BB's for chrono. California did the same which caused the issue on the pay fields there. .43's at 400 is the same energy as .20's at 585 FPS. Combine that with 40+ RPS, with an unlimited supply of BB's, and air due to 15 minute evolutions. Then POOF, magic. Also, most new Chinese clone AEG's shoot nearly 400 fps with .25's out of the box. That's not too smart with the short or no MED's.

In those CQB arenas all guns should be at 1.2 joules. However, that would diminish the number of eligible players with new, stock AEG's, which is norm out there.

What a disappointment. Never though I'd see california fearmongering make it to arizona. What a sad day.

What do you mean?

BBs are ballistic. Once they leave the barrel they are no longer being acted upon by the gun.
Some people started getting the notion that somehow a bb traveling at a set velocity being propelled by air from a tank is different than air coming from a piston. Here in calistan, they equate .2g bb @360fps (1.2J) fired from any HPA system as having the same KE as a .3g @ 500fps (3.48J) fired by a bolty or even an AEG. Like HPA tanks grant you the ability to pour more speed in to a bb after it has left your barrel.

So they ban them or lock them down to ludicrous or unplayable ranges and can't give a reasonable explanation as to why.
AZ held out for several years but it seems the irrationality has spread. Though its a little higher but it is still the same premise. Have an HPA or gas bolty? Limited.

Hmm. As a user of both AEG's and HPA systems myself, I can't see why there is an issue with a 1.55 joule limit. The limit is set across the board for all non "sniper" semi only/bolt actions. Personally, I feel that 1.55 joules are low for open desert, field play in here in Arizona, or anywhere else that has our conditions. As many people can attest, they have been witness to me wiping out entire squads at well over 300 feet with a model that is shooting within 1.55 joules. But I am a 1.82 Joule kind of guy.

Doing limits by joules is a far superior and safer method than by FPS though. Using joules limits "joule creeping" by using the BB's that the play is playing with on the field.

However, I do not understand why LC does not allow HPA in a model that fits all the criteria of "sniper" guns.
