Andy,
It is common for retailers to sell items for less than the manufacturer....think of all the Blackhawk gear dealers as an example. If Blackhawk undercut their dealer network, what worth would there be in even BEING a dealer for them?
In fact, a number of dealers are taking in the shorts currently with Blackhawk, which has discounted a lot of their gear recently. These discounts have brought some of the gear to below that which teh dealer originally paid. What is the incentive here if a dealer cannot move some older product for even what he paid for it?
Manufacturers are in the business to MAKE stuff, not sell it retail (usually). Thus, for 3Gun Gear and Blackhawk, and Eagle, etc., it's easier for them to sell to a dealer network in larger orders than it is to sell onesies/twosies to the general public. Thus, gear from the manufacturer will almost always be for full MSRP unless they are having some sort of old item clearance sale.
