AEG's / Re: Not really an AEG, but semi-auto electric pistol

I was looking at the Tokyo Marui extended 100 rd mag, but it's too expensive for me ATM.  Also makes the gun look like a real G18 so I thought I'd look into it.

Not sure how the battery thing is going to work out yet.  I'll tell/ask you guys when it comes.  I'm excited!

Fair enough...

I finally decided to settle down with a CYMA G18

I'm real excited for it to come in.  Your thoughts?

That Tokyo Marui is out of my price range, but I'll look for that G18

Can you give me reasons why this AEP sucks (aside from the blowback of course).  Is it the low FPS?  Or just unreliability of the gun.  What really pokes at me is that I can get it for under 20 bucks.

I was browsing around today and I found this:

http://www.airsoftstation.com/desert-ea ... istol.html

If I wanted a gas-operated semi-auto, it would run me $50+
But this little electric is only ~20 with shipping.  Granted, it only shoots 180 FPS, but I like the way it looks (after I remove that ugly orange nose)

What are your guys' thoughts?  Would it even be worth getting?  Or should I just save up and get a gas operated one (or stick to a spring)?

A few of my friends and I were just wanting to run around the streets / desert and play some CTF with one another

Not trying to start a flame war and it has been covered in depth but, it is bad form to airsoft in the streets.

To be honest, my friends and I were not even aware of this 'community' or genre.  We simply bought airsoft guns out of boredom, and thought it would be fun to run around shooting each other.  I've only very recently become aware of the existence of these airsoft organizations.

I only recently got into this genre.  I've always liked FPS video games, and always liked guns.
Anywho, I was at a store with a friend of mine when I saw a Pumpmaster 760, BB repeating airgun.  I had so much fun plinking that most of my paychecks/student loans/scholarship started going towards the purchase of airguns.

Shortly after my Pumpmaster 760, I bought a PX4 Storm and a Desert Eagle and began tricking them out with attachments and such.  The problem was that with these pellet guns, I couldn't really shoot anything other than beer bottles and cans, so I decided to buy an airsoft gun.  I bought a full metal Dboy M4, and fell in love immediately.

Only found this forum through my research (wanted to know if it was legal to paint the tip of my M4 black), and saw that there are people who actually do MilSims with their guns.  I've been sold, so I'll see you around the forums.

General Airsoft Discussion / Arizona laws regarding orange tip

I've done a few searches and couldn't find anything on your boards/faqs, so I thought I'd post a new topic.

A few of my friends and I were just wanting to run around the streets / desert and play some CTF with one another, but most of our guns had the orange tip stripped/painted off.  I know that to legally sell the gun, the orange tip must be a certain length and/or the gun must be clear, but that law doesn't apply to actually USING the gun without the orange tip.

I know that if I end up pointing it at a cop, there's a good chance he's going to shoot me, but what exactly are AZ laws regarding this orange blaze tip?
Thanks,

Crono
