Isn't Prometheus the only company that makes 6.03 barrels?

I think you're right, Jamie.  First doesn't list any AEG 6.03 barrels on their own site.

Another option which is basically the same as what Christian recommended is to get a riser mount. You can find them anywhere, and don't have to spend a lot.

I've done this, and I got the idea from Mikey.

Just make one end grab the upper rail and the other end on the upper receiver and it'll stiffen it up tremendously. It won't be perfect though, but it's a good solution.  Not as low profile as Christian's suggestion, but if you're mounting some kind of sight, it works out.

Metal receiver is always the solution for the absolute best rigidity, but I don't think it's necessary.

They only sell two Western Arms pistols...pistols other than infinity and SV series are plastic..like the 1911's or m9's etc.

Actually, it just depends on the model. I own an SV Infinity (they're the same thing)  and a Colt Gunsite.  Neither has a lot of metal, but they do have the highest quality plastic of any airsoft gun...

That's all the help you offered, the "us" you refer to never included you, so shut up.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough, I was actually speaking to those who were giving you a hard time.  I meant "they" needed to cut YOU some slack.

Sheesh.

Cut the guy a little slack.

We've all been frustrated with a gun that didn't work right.

The closest thing to a civilian version of the Blackhawk is either the Sikorsky S-76 (which is smaller) or the S-92 (which is bigger)
It seems the S-92 is priced at $15 million.

The lead designer on GR2 is also a former AA member from a few years back.

General Airsoft Discussion / Well...I'm back.
« on: December 29, 2004, 12:15:43 PM »
Hey there,

I'm back in the US of A.  It was a lot of fun, but it's good to be back for Christmas and to see friends and such.

Unfortunately I have to turn around and head back to Ohio soon.
("Danny, we need you to turn around, and go back to Halwadig")

It doesn't look like I'll be 'softing anytime soon, but that's the way it goes, I guess.

I haven't read the forums much lately, but it seems that the Old School is entirely gone, save for Mikey.  Where's everyone gone? I know Nick and I are off at our respective schools,  but seriously, who's representing the early AA days?

General Off-Topic Discussion / Austria

Howdy guys,

I arrived in Austria today.  Not really sure when today is though...

I'll be here until December, so airsoft is yet again on hold. I will try to drop in here when I can.

Austria, by the way, is beautiful, and has tremendous airsoft potential.

I'd like to visit the Steyr factory while I'm here.  Definitely going to avoid the other Austrian gun manufacturer...

AEG's / 1991 Marui Promo Video

Here you go guys.

It's pretty hilarious when it tries to show the advantages of AEG's over gas guns, but there are some cool things in there, such as a working cutaway gearbox.
