WOW
You guys are giving me a lot of useful info.
Thanks for all the help
As for the guys offering to sell to me im gonna have to turn you down unless it either TAN or BLACK gear.
I really appreciate it all and keep the info coming please.

what i found, for desert use, is that its very effective to mix tan and green (desert floor, green foliage). if you bought the ciras in GREEN, and bought only TAN pouches, you'd be in great shape. for example, my WEESATCH is tan, but it has green straps, green admin pouch, green pistol mag pouch and utility pouch. besides, the majority of the troops you see over seas have green gear on their tan BDU's.  :)

Straight up, any one of the more tactically inclined individuals here will tell you to never get black. It does nothing for you. Tan is cool though.

But, all that aside, the Eagle Plate Carrier I have is in RANGER GREEN which is better than TAN or GREEN. It's kind of a single shade color that strangely blends in with anything...but that's just some info. I'm really not that desparate.  ;)

My top three-
Chest rigs:
-TT MAV
-BLACKHAWK Recon Chest Harness or Eagle RRV
-DBT/BattleLab Low-Vis RACK

Armor Carriers:
-Paraclete RAV
-Eagle CIRAS (land, maritime, or LE carrier)
-DBT Predator line

Vests:
-TT Modular Vest
-BLACKHAWK Omega MOLLE vest
-AIRSAVE (TACAIR version)

LBV-style:
-ELCS or Paraclete equivalent
-MB Modular Medic Vest (CMVS)
- MOLLE II FLC

Plate Carriers:
-DBT Plate Carrier with RACK cummerbund
-Eagle Plate Carrier with cummerbund
-SOTech Callahan

Use different things, buy sell and trade, and you'll find what you like.  After that, customization is key.  Use what works, and toss what doesn't.  You might also find yourself using more than one rig, funds permitting.

As for solid colors, my pick is Ranger Green.  Foliage Green is a close second with tan, khaki, or coyote thereafter.

Good luck, there's lots of good kit on the market!

Also, if you are looking for something cheap, simple, but pretty nice is the Infinity Tactical Chest Rig is nice. I've had mine for a while and it's great for an M16 variant.

Another Gear question, I'm looking for a plate carrier type system (either CIRAS, weesatch, etc), I've been seeing LE on certain products, what does LE stand for?

One:  I sell Eagle and HSGI stuff.   I'll likely be carrying TT after the first of the year.

Two:  The CIRAS isn't a plate carrier. It's an armor system platform, for soft-armor AND armor plates.  Sure, you can use it as a plate carrier, but it's a waste of it's potential.  Oh wait, I forgot this is airsoft. :)

Three:  LE = Law Enforcement.  Eagle started a Law Enforcement line of gear that somewhat overlaps their traditional military offerings.  Mostly, the armor carriers and plate carriers lose a little PALS webbing and add some velcro for "POLICE" patches and similar.  The LE line of gear also has a couple chest rigs that don't carry as many mags.

I guess it's good I didn't pay in pounds then huh? or it may have been a huge rip-off.. plus this was a time when eagle industries was on a 6 month back order and ebay was chock full of raised prices, i'm happy with my rig and I have no regrets.. but seriously.. why are the CIRAS so cheap now?

Eagle Plate Carriers were never worth 350. Ever, sorry.

CIRAS aren't super cheap cheap, there's just deals to be had.

Oh, furthermore, the LE CIRAS is non releasable and takes a lot of the complexities out of it. It's really more like, the "LE Armor Carrier" I think they call it.
