The Maruzen series rifles are some of the best in the sport.  The APS was pretty much on top of the game until the M24 came along to give competition.  You would not be disappointed in the Maruzen rifle.

It is not too hard to upgrade the rifle to 500fps, but it can be costly.  Some will tell you to put a spring in it, but you need much more.  Durability upgrades (ie reinforced parts) will cost you right now, but it is better than having your gun geek on you at a dramatic moment.

Im looking at purchasing a Maruzen APS Type 96 Rifle with my tax return. My question is How hard is it to get a 500 fps spring in to the gun? And is it worht the price you pay? Any comments are welcome in this matter.
