Recommended Locations for HPA Tank Fills?
« on: December 06, 2012, 03:12:30 PM »
where do you guys go to get your tanks filled? i'm looking for east valley locations in particular. google says tempe paintball, anywhere else?

basically, i don't want some 18 year old kid under-filling my tank/filling too quickly. so not vanguard.

edit - seems like sport chalet is winning, thanks for all the feedback

Sports Shops
Diving/Watersports Locations
Paintball Locations/Stores
APD
Command Post
Sector 9 Might do fills

Id recommend just dropping $140 on a nice large scuba tank, and then get a Scuba Fill station for $40 to fill your tanks at home. Saves you in the long run.

i'm not going to have a scuba tank sitting in my apartment.

thank you for your list, but that's not what i'm looking for. i know places that might do fills. i'm looking for places people like to go to.

I've yet to find a place I LIKE to go.. Tempe Paintball probably. I second the scuba tank idea. Then again, I like to scuba so its win-win.

Surprised you haven't got a tank Nuke, with all your P*'s and what not.

And how to work it:

I use my craftsman 25 gallon compressor set to 80+ psi when test firing setups in my garage.

I don't have a scuba fill station because I'm converting my main P* setup to a balance regulated green gas/ propane setup. (I dont recommend anyone doing this unless you know what you are doing.. it voids your warranty and you will ruin it if you do it incorrectly)

I do believe its $5 per tank and you only get 3000psi. They also fill the tanks fast

I've had my tank filled at both Vanguard and TP.  The outcomes were the same.  Vanguard charges $1 per 1000psi.

I go to Vanguard simply because it's the closest.

Just an update, I tried out Sport Chalet.  $5 for a tank.  Slow fill.  They've got my business.
