Problems with my G26
« on: June 05, 2005, 04:50:17 PM »
So here is the problem.

I gas up my gun, click it to the up position (semi) and try to fire and the slide goes back and then forward a bit but no pellet comes out and then all the gas goes out of the ejection port and the front end of the barrel.  I've tried this with and without pellets and it does it both times but moreso with the pellets.  Could I possibly need a new clip?

You don't need a new "clip"(please call it a magazine!!!). Where is the BB going? Is it just sitting in the chamber? Is it not loading into the bb chamber/hop up chamber?

Try only filling the mag a little..Like 1 second. You might have too much gas in your mag.

Well, I tried filling my "magazine" only a little bit and it worked for a little bit and then same thing.  I'm starting to think that the trouble is coming from the slide.  It's really hard to determine though.

The pellet is loading right into the opening of the barrel but stopping right there.  Ugh, it's just confusing.

If it was jammed, I don't think anygas would be coming out the barrell. See the gas comes out behind the BB. Now if it all came out the ejection port, I could understand, if it was jammed.

Is a pellet even feeding into the chamber? Or are you just passing gas?

What kind of gas are you using? Its easy to put to much gas with green rather than Duster!!! Also check to see if your recoil spring is kinked or in bad shape.

I'm not missing any parts or springs or anything, it's just not operating correctly.

Sometimes the gun works but 80 percent of the time it jams up, pellet does not come out, slide doesn't go all the way forward and gas shoots out of the ejction port and the barrel.  Were I to know what I'm doing, I'd take it apart myself.  I am starting to think that the spring that operates the slide has lost some of it's power, but I'm taking the gun to JT tomorrow and have them take a look at it.  Thanks for all the help. :)
