yeah im not sure if any one else noticed but my aeg shoot harder then this little pee shooter. for a sniper its sad, semi auto or not. intimidation factor is nil in my opinion because its 22ibs or so with out the scope. if im going to spend that kind of money i would rather buy a dsr-1, its shoots alot harder (it would have to be tuned down some) and comes with a very nice scope and its cheaper.

Yeah but the evisceration -to- weight ratio of the real thing more than warrants its heft, IMO.

If I could find a fuckin BB gun that weighed 1lb, I'd be all over that like Mikey on rice.  To hell with "realistic" weight.  

I have real guns for that.

I'm just the opposite. I want my AEG to weigh a bit heavier than the real thing. Just like a batter practices with weights, when I use the real thing it feels light. Though your real gat is just plain F'n heavy and I wouldn't want to lug that around either  ;)  

But back to the gun, I agree.  The bang you get for your buck does not translate the same in airsoft as it does with real steal. This gun would fill the need for the look if someone wanted it that much and is willing to pay the price for the "look factor".  Other than that I don't see any advantages this thing would have in airsoft.  And if a gun like this were upgraded to where it would have an advantage, it would most likely hurt someone.

Sounds about right, they should've at least tried to do something like this, adapted it for 8mm BBs, then slapped on a body kit. At least that way it would look intimidating and would worth the price.

Just because it 'looks' mean does not mean it will intimidate anyone.  In reality I would think someone just had to much money to waste if they actually played with it.  That does not mean I would not be interested to come look at it or shoot it a couple of times, but its not really something you play with.  I know some people buy airsoft guns for wall hangers and this would be a great option for them.  It about $7,250 cheaper than a real one.  It does look cool though.

like others have said Its still just a BB gun, and I dont notice anything special. For $850 I want some asthetic shit on that gun that is completly pointless, Like blowback, and shell ejection. Like others have said its an expensive/pretty body kit.

Heh, interesting. I remember when I first started learning about airsoft, the M82 was just a legend. Just a few guys that were dedicated enough to either machine the metal themselves or have someone else do it and build one.
Impractical, I agree; but cool none the less.
