Very nice, but very expensive.

YOU(anyone with some skills) could make that, no problem. take a springer L85, and put a gearbox and a few other things in it(barrel, just about anything required to make an AEG fire). I'm going to give it a try(i have a gearbox, and a barrel, just need the body).

Steel Metal with Strongly-built Structure

I don't have access to a steel body.  I'm that a big fan of the L85, but I would give it a whirl if I had all the parts handy.  Doesn't look too hard to set up.

The only thing that would probably be difficult is finding the right parts that fit. Plus figuring out what parts to give it for that matter.

Well, you could make it WITHOUT the metal body...it might not be as strong, but if you dont treat it like crap it will hold up.

I'm not a fan of plastic bodies, and I could have parts made.  I have a guy who's going to start making metal bodies, inner barrels, and outer barrels for me.  He owns a machine shop in Illinois, so it wouldn't be that bad.  Maybe a summer project for me.

well...me and a friend are currently deciding on who will pay for what. I have all the stuff, except for the body, to build one of these things.

I didn't read the complete auction, but if that's a REAL SA80 receiver (rest of the parts don't matter), it would not be legal to import into the US.

Well, as we know, the receiver of any firearm is the "firearm" part, as dictated by the BATF.  As to why it's illegal to import a SA80 receiver...  read up on the 1968 GCA (Gun Control Act), and Bush Sr's 1989 Executive Order to the ATF (regarding the "sporting clause" of the 1968 GCA).  :(

What about guns made in another country? Such as a SIG, GLOCK, H&K...

did the seller say he was in the US, becuase he might be in a foriegn country. Thus, an american can't buy it, but someone from another country can. Ill go look right now.
