My Dad has 1918 Colt 1911 .45, and we can't find a website that will give us an estimated price for free, so if anyone knows of a website, or owns a firearm blue book please PM me if you are willing to help.

I have a couple at home.  How quickly do you need this?  It might be in storage which means I wont be able to look it up till this weekend.  Alternately goto a Barns and Noble or similar store and grab the book off the shelf and look for yourself.

You could also check the current value of a similar model sold on gunbroker or other gun sales sites.

Guns are just like baseball cards, there is a "listing price" and then there is what you are actually going to get.

i.e. A $500 baseball card sells to a dealer for $40.
