an opinion on the Classic Army Mp5
« on: November 08, 2008, 03:04:33 PM »
i am interested in buying and Mp5, Classic army is what i am leaning towards and i want to hear the opinions of ones who are more experienced. my price range is no more than about 250$, i am also leaning towards buying a RIS for the foregrip and mounting a short tube launcher. any suggestions for variations or brands would be appreciated.

I had a classic army SD6 for about a year. Personally, I had a good run with it. It was pretty consistent. The rof wasn't that fast but i didn't shoot in auto much. The only thing i got annoid with is, the selector started getting iffy, and semi would shoot auto. But I still loved it, and didn't do it that often. Only reason i sold it was to get a real ar15, and because I was moving away from home, on my own. I dont suggest all the rail system crap for a mp5, keep it simple. Looks more appealing.

I don't know much about internals, but I'd just go with an ICS one. Their cheap and from what I have heard, they hold up well.

You should look at the new Echo 1 MP5 variants.   They feel pretty good.
