Players can join the US Forces in a show down against the Iraqi Insurgency for control of Ramadi, Iraq.

Day 1 Saturday September 16 (10 am to 8 pm) -  Mission Training $20
Players may attend a 10 hour military training program designed to prepare them for airsoft combat in Operation Sand Storm on Sunday.  The training will feature:

·        Team Formations
·        Marksmanship
·        Ambush/Counter Ambush
·        Vehicle Ambush
·        Military Operations in Urban Terrain Training
·        Insurgent Tactics

Participants can camp out at the field and play night games in the town!  On Sunday, Operation Sand Storm begins.

Day 2 Sunday September 17 Operation Sand Storm 10 am – 6 pm $40

Op Sand Storm will feature our first military VIP, Brigadier General (ret.) Richard Wilmot.  General Wilmot is a retired US Army Brigadier General and ended his career as the Commandant of the US Army Intelligence Center and School. He served the US Government as an employee of one of their intelligence organizations and was successful in engineering the covert procurement of twelve main battle tanks of the Soviet Army. This operation was instrumental in the early demise of the Iraqi ground forces during operation Desert Storm.

People keep asking me if the training will be fun.

Let me say this – the training will give you a chance to experience ALL OF THE ACTION from Op Sand Storm.

I’ll explain….On Sunday there will be close to 70 US Forces players running around the field completing different missions.  Some will go on vehicle convoys and get ambushed, others will go on raids to destroy ammo dumps or capture enemy positions.

However, not everyone will get to go on all of the missions.  Players who attend the training will get to go on EVERY type of mission on Saturday to prepare them for whatever their platoon will be assigned to do on Sunday.  It is definitely easier to accomplish a mission when you have practiced it before it really counts.

And yes, the training will be fun.  Especially with Kyle there.

Player information and rules went out today along with Mission 1 scenarios.  If you did not receive the information it means:

1) I did not receive your registration email or
2) The email written on the registration form at SoftAir Depot was incorrect or illegible

US Forces and Insurgent Rosters will be posted on September 8.  Players can still register until Friday Sept 16 for the regular price.  There are still 30 spaces available on the US Forces.  All Insurgent spaces have been filled.

Walk on players will be charged an additional $20 for the game.  I am holding 20 spaces for walk on players.

All registrations sent by email have been received.  Many players have emailed me multiple times as they have received a returned email stating the mail box is full.  This is not the case, only a technical problem.

There are 20 spaces left on the US Forces.  I have reserved at least 20 spaces (shirts and patches) for walk-on players.  However, the cost of the game for these walk-on players is $60.

Player information for newly registered players will go out on Sept 8 along with team rosters.

Rosters for teams will be posted on Monday, September 11.  There are still 20 spaces left for the US Forces as of Friday.  I expect these will be sold out by next Wed or Thursday.

After that only walk on spaces will be available at $60 each.  We are at 50 registered players with 40 who have already paid.  If you know someone who is thinking about coming out, get them to sign up soon.

Only registered players will receive the event shirt at the game.  Walk-ons will receive the shirt by mail about two weeks after the event.

Rosters went out to each Platoon yesterday.  We are currently at 60 registered players!

There are only 15 spaces available on US Forces for the $40 game price.  Once these are filled up, price goes to $60.  Registration closes on Friday at 6 pm.  Any player who arrives at the field without prepaying and registering will pay the walk-on price for the event.

On Friday, Sept 15 I will post the final rosters before the game.  Please do not try to contact me via email or private message Friday after 7 pm as I will be prepping for the event.

EVENT UPDATE - Kenton Tucker of MG Shooters will be teaching part of the weapons safety program at Saturday's training.

He will be bringing out a variety of real machineguns for participants to view, hold, take photos, etc.  Please note that we will NOT be firing these weapons at the event.  However, we will be announcing an upcoming event where shooters may train and fire with these type of weapons.

As of this morning, there are about 5 spaces left for players to register for the $60 Training/Game or $40 Game price.

When these fill up, any player who registers will be put onto a wait list for shirts and patches.  If there are players who don't show up at the game, players on the wait list will receive their shirts and patches at no additional charge.

Anyone who registers after 6 pm on Friday will pay an extra $20 for Op Sand Storm.  I have received at least 10 calls from people who claim they will be going but have not registered.  The missions will work more smoothly if I have an accurate count of players.

Registration is closed for Op Sand Storm.  We have 76 registered (paid) players.  I will be out of communication by email over the next 48 hours so please don't email or pm me with questions.

If you have a question, you may call (602) 326-9849.

See you at the field.

I was reading the email mike sent out to everyone and it says "ANY hit on a player or his equipment is is considered a wound." Now i guessing equipment includes your weapon. So if your weapon gets hit it is broken or whatever and your out, but if you have a pistol or secondary weapon can you use that and stay in? Thanks  :D .

I loved being a insurgen and doing what ever. The US Force did well, but it was still fun. I remeber a few times i would try to run up then i would get flanked so i would run for cover and fight untill the death!
