Mt Ord game - April 17th
« on: March 02, 2010, 11:20:00 AM »
hey all wanted to give a decent heads up for my next game in april

date - april 17th

location - mt ord

start time - 0730

meet spot - 0700 +/- @ baja gas station off hwy 87

haven't seen a mt ord game in a while so i figured i'd change things up a bit - i'll probably be camping the night before to be sure we grab a decent spot for parking and setup

couple of things to keep in mind -

18+ only

max fps = 400 w .20's

bring a death rag (red)

and all of the obvious necessities such as radios etc.

if you have never been there before and do not want to get lost i'll post a carpool thread in the game disc for this game.
so there's the logistics for the game - i'll post up after i get some ideas stapled down for scenarios n such

--- so here are some basic ideas for the game scenario---

tan vs green as usual

head count - - -

tan --

killer 602 +2
ghost sniper +5
falconphx +1
AZCW +1
CT +5-7
BGA +4 (zeezod - caravan leader)

woodland --

Me + 9
mjr buttnutts +1
Mini Support +2
SVTcobra
governator+3
spirit of simo +1
diseased monkey

NO color ind. -

Reb union +3
Team insert +2
Wayney
d.rich
beachside

so the game starts fast with a medvac mission in progress with one team trying to extract while the other trying to execute the casualties . depending on what happens.. you'll see game advantages swing

to be found is intel on both tan assets and green forces which will unfold new mission priorities, there will be more than one chance to get this intel either first hand or via command intel. obviously finding it first hand will give you the upper hand, without giving too much away from the game there will be a rat in the ranks so keep an eye out. all of this will be clarified throughout the day but mostly at the game briefing.

grid maps will be posted up on this thread sometime soon. if you have any questions post them publicly to avoid multiples of the same question -

please post up what como of choice you are signing up for and i'll add a roster soon

thanks guy

Beanzor, it's up the 87 past Sycamore Creek. There's a sign for it, Mt. Ord.

The drive up to the AO is dangerous (no guardrails and some sharp turns with fatal drop offs), so, go slow and make sure you have a truck with ground clearance. There's a little hill you gotta get up to get into the parking area.

Wish I could go - I'll be at Coachella.

Have fun, dudes.

It's the same location as Op Idaho if you remember where that was.

If I'm able to attend I can lead a convoy up from Fountain Hills.

I will for sure be there. Sniper shooting about 600 w/.20 but I'll probably have set up for 500 as well. I'll be in woodland camp with a woodland set ghillie suit. I'll let u know about any others that will be coming within the next couple of weeks.

I'll vouch for that. It's a pretty scary drive and under NO circumstances should you take a sedan or non off-road vehicle up the mountain. The worst part is when you're coming back down the mountain there is a pretty sharp left turn at the bottom of a slope and it didn't register at the time, but if you don't ride the brake down the hill you could very well fly off the mountain.

I was in my Jeep Liberty and Phx Cobra was in his Jeep Wrangler and we were racing down the mountain after a game just because we were pieces of shit (still are) and this very left will be etched into my memory forever. Rear right wheel got off the edge and I almost killed Airsofter1 and myself - I knew it was a serious rub because instead of screaming FUUUCCCKKK, I just exhaled.

No shit, be careful up there.
