How difficult is it to upgrade a spring? And how much would it cost for someone to do it for me?

call Andy at AAI, 509-216-2963 (cell), great guy to work with, local, in Metro area. prices are very fair and resonable, GREAT turn around time!

Changing anything in the gearbox, is a simple adventure. It will take time the first time, and the right tools.

While you are in the gearbox, you should change the O-Ring on the piston, relube everything and reshim it.
